Introduction

Violence against women of color has over time become rampant in the United States to the extent of being an issue of concern. Public confession by women of color who in the past have been violated has proven to be futile as we women are encouraged to remain silent about sexual and domestic violence to avoid being termed as racists. Again, it is ironic that the police officers mandated to serve and protect their citizens are among those who violate women of color and later on walk scot free. The state in the form of the criminal justice system is seen as the key perpetrator of violence against women of color as they expose women to further brutality once they report these cases. Women of color reached to a point where they realized that if they did not fight for their rights, no one would. As a result, these women held a conference "INCITE! Women of Color Against Violence" whose main objective was to come with means of curbing violence that is induced by both the state and individuals (Incite! Women of Color against Violence, 2016). The color of violence, therefore, is a collection of narratives explaining the plight of women of color. The following essay depicts a clear understanding of violence extended to women of color.

Before events that led to the formation of the color of violence, women of color realized that brutality against women has declined to a level that all supporters of social justice are no more. The works of black lesbians who played a part in a critical role in the formation of the movement were no longer recognized as a basis in the campaign. Contrastingly, the anti-violence movement comprised of women of color deeply involved in negotiations that were complex and touched on the critical relationship among the agents of violence recognized institutions of power and those that had survived violence (Incite! Women of Color against Violence, 2016).In a bid to emphasize concerns of women of color, politics of inclusion was formulated to help in championing the anti-violence movement. The attempts to include more women of color in leadership as well as making interventions against domestic violence were put in place. As a result, attention is diverted from women of color to addressing the entire state violence. A more detailed view of techniques is required to deal with the oppression of women of color. Therefore, diverting to individuals who face various forms of abuse will attract a broader perspective of analyses to the problems facing the entire community.

Reliance on the criminal justice system as a key mean of wiping out violence extended to women of color has proved to be unsuccessful. The state, on the other hand, is viewed as a protector by antiviolence activists taking the position between women and the oppressing males. Women who defend themselves against violence and potential oppression are seen not to recognize the role of the state in protecting them. The criminal justice system is seen to discriminate women who are found guilty of defending themselves against domestic violence. In this case, the state acts as agents of oppression. Females charged with gender violence are exposed to physical isolation, insults, emotional torture, and intrusive searches on their bodies.

An analysis of the conditions that constitute the social category of disability and the constructs that are ideally presented have resulted in oppression in terms of race, class, and gender. An elegant approach is drawn to show the relationship between poverty and disability in third world settings. The primary postulations attached to structural adjustment programs and their contribution to poverty as well as disability is associated with the condition of a considerable number of women in third world countries.

Imperialism, as well as militarism, are forms that are employed to draw the link between gender violence and state violence. The focus is directed to Arab women as who needs to be protected from Arab men as they are indirect victims of ferocious terrorists (Incite! Women of Color against Violence, 2016). A discussion on the factors that have facilitated an increase in the cases of suicide bombing is linked to resistance against occupation by Israeli. The soldiers in the mission are seen not to focus on age and gender. It is said that they pull females away using their long hair, spit on women, expose their breasts, spill their hair and push them to dirt. Movements are aiming at resisting police brutality present men as key victims while the anti-violence movements are not seen to protect women who are oppressed by the police more so when the oppression happens from a response to occurrences concerning domestic violence.

An elaborate analysis of violence against women of color is tailored to address issues like the strategies necessary to wipe out violence against women of color in all aspects. Various criteria are pointed out for organizing a more detailed description of violence. Policies that are seen to affect the state making it rely on the local political organization are viewed as feasible solutions to issues affecting women.

The non-profit industrial complex is a key area of focus that challenges those advocating for antiviolence to help them come up with concrete models that are self-reliant and that which will dominate social justice in the United States. Specifically, the anti-violence movement has resulted in a change of a complex struggle against violence to a mushrooming interlinkage of social service providers. Strategies to alleviate violence are represented in a bid to reconsider the leading causes of violence against women of color. An initiative on the longest time that is likely to be taken by women of color to end violence against them remains an area of concern among women of color. The argument subjects these women of color to discuss on whether the white-dominated address, gender violence, or male dominate discourses offer the required and elaborate analysis to come up with effective means of curbing racism and sexism. INCITE looks forward to a situation whereby the efforts championed will lay a platform for continued consultation on the various ways that need to be put in place to end violence and oppression against all people and particularly to the women of color (Incite! Women of Color against Violence, 2016). Feminist of color are prompted that as they take up power, they ought to know that the primary objective is not to take up many workplaces neither is it being part of white feminist organizations but championing liberation of women. The hardest part of the communities should be a key focus to ending violence against women; Self-denial should be the last thing to keep in mind in the course of the movement. No room should be created for those who despise the liberation of people of color and our entire engagements.

However, the attempt to eradicate violence among women of color by the antiviolence movement deemed impossible because they were receiving negative responses from the white women. The white females perceived the fight against violence as a way of fueling racism and social stratification in the United States which made the women of color-who supported those of their own who had been violated either sexually or domestically- feel unacknowledged and at risk. Consequently, the women of color who were advocating for an end in violence, quit the antiviolence movement because they were short of resources and had to depend on programs that were headed by white females. As a result, White man's supremacy emerged following attempts of multicultural interventions and inclusivity (Incite! Women of Color against Violence, 2016).

Conclusion

In conclusion, domestic violence and sexual assault by individuals and the state has been a prevailing topic of discussion amongst women of color. Following cases of brutality against women being under-investigated and under-prosecuted, whereby they end up being termed as liars, women have been in the past forced to keep silent about their experiences regarding violence. These women thus reached a point where they realized that if they do not wake up and stand up for their rights as well as fight for justice, the situation will never change. An antiviolence movement was then formed, but unfortunately, it did not do much as most women of color who were members ended up leaving because they were faced with a backlash from the white females who they depended on for resources as they were not self-sufficient. As much as women of color have shown their efforts in cutting off violence against themselves, they should stop using the marginalized people in the society like the lesbians as victims in their initiatives.
