To meet a company's mission and satisfy customer needs, most companies have established strategic plans that act as a guideline (Jekiel, 2016). A good strategic plan will lead to the success of human resources and, eventually, the organization. For the organizations seeking to expand into sub-Sahara Africa requires a well-grounded plan since moving to a different country is a big deal for any company. It is the responsibility of human resources to lead an organization into business success. A good and sustainable strategic plan is necessary when expanding to sub-Saharan Africa. Opening new offices in these countries will ensure a wider reach of the product as well as giving the customers residing in the new location a better opportunity for accessing your products. First, you need to know where exactly you are going, in this case, I choose Kenya, and the required skill set. Start by making rough estimates of the number of employees that can be accommodated at the new location. This will help the company in implementing new strategies and policies that align with the host country (Jekiel, 2016). The will be no need to hire new staff for the new branches, but instead, the company can divide its present staff into three or two groups, basing on individual performance, and then assign them with different roles and tasks. Over time, it will be possible for XYZ Company to build its new offices and sub-branches in sub-Saharan Africa. However, as their market reach and network expand, they need to take care of all the rules and regulations and policies governing their operations in the respective states or countries. The company would also need to expand the job descriptions for its staff, including a range of significant responsibilities, tasks, and taking risky opportunities.

Indeed, establishing a commissary for banking and currency and that of grocery purchase is necessary, especially for a new company in the market. However, it might not be allowed to invest the same amount as the existing companies but will a higher figure. Once the company is well established, it will no longer invest any amount extra but instead will enjoy all the benefits according to the customer satisfaction terms. XYZ Company will also enjoy an increase in sales, just like other established companies.

Should the organization set an assignment length of one or two years with families? Yes, sending talented staff to sub-Saharan Africa is a promising way to leverage the benefits of a global economy. These expatriate assignments are costly and can be as much as three times the cost of an individual's annual salary (Stewart & Brown, 2019). However, employees can gain valuable skills during their assignments. Before sending any staff for an assignment, it is necessary to make its business case just like any crucial decision or investment. The company should have a compelling reason and clear organizational need that cannot be satisfied through recruiting local staff. New work environment, housing, family adjustments, and cultural adjustments can contribute to low productivity, especially when an assignment causes one to stay far from their loved ones for a longer duration. It is due to this reason I agree that one should be sent together with his/her family. According to research, most of the expatriate assignments last for 1 to 2 years. The company should take as its responsibility to look for a home for its expatriates in the host country.

For the employee with families in the course of their assignment, the company will ensure they are provided with a package that covers school expenses. The company will need to secure admission slots in the host country where the schooled culture and taught lessons are the same as home. In most states, some schools are biased to certain countries to provide learners with a more custom culture like that of the home country. The company will make arrangements for the locals helps to help its employees with family duties. This will make the staff working in the host country feel more comfortable hence ensuring they stay productive at work. The XYZ Company will make arrangements to have their staff lease new homes in the host country for the duration of the assignment.

Conclusion

In conclusion, a good strategic plan should not only take into consideration the immediate company needs but also that of its employees. This ensures the productivity of the employee, which in turn leads to improved employee productivity hence a satisfied customer. This will, in turn, lead to the success of the human resources and company at large.
