Introduction
German launched the very first mixed annual technology of solar and wind tenders for the year 2018 to 2019.These renewable energy providers were said to be competing for the very first time for tender. The German Federal Network Agency hoped to assign 200 MW bid to either solar or wind in February. Out of the 18 bids made for wind technology project, Solar projects emerged the winner with 32 contracts. There were mixed reactions between the Federal solar association and German Wind Energy Association regarding the joint tendering where they termed it as unsuitable. The BWE president suggested that the idea of pitting this two energy system against the other is ineffective. He suggested the need for an intelligent mix of both technologies. However,Both parties agreed to work on the projects where the joint auction is still planned every year .The author suggested a need for encouraging this two technologies to have an equal share in terms of the project. NTSB: Blown A Southwest Jet Showed some Metal Fatigue
The article explains the cause of a South West airplane that was bound from New York to Dallas that developed an accident which led to a death of a woman who got sucked out of a broken window. However, the pilot managed to make an emergency safe landing that helped to save the lives of the passengers. The plane is said to have developed some metal fatigue and fan blades problems. The investigation was to take 12 to 15 months to examine the engine further and understand the main cause of this failure. After some investigation, South West CEO confirmed that the plane or its engine had no problem. The Airplane manufacturers stated that the plane had a reliable and an outstanding record since it was debuted. There have been efforts by federal aviation administration and engine makers to ensure that the airlines make ultrasonic fan blade inspections due to the report of hurling debris and fan blade failing. Closing Loop Of Predictive Maintenance
The article begins by elaborating how manufacturers companies are neglecting traditional and outdated method of data analysis to new and improved ways . Example, people are purchasing vehicles that are designed in a way that the vehicle technician can use machine sensors, service report, and maintenance data to determine whether the vehicle requires an oil change. This technology advancement in manufacturing companies is as a result of combining field management and asset performance management. Due to the industrial internet of things emergence in the manufacturing industries, predictive maintenance is on top of many manufacturers. Predictive maintenance has been contributed by real-time of data feeds and a lot of alert intelligent condition. Integration of machine learning, computing capabilities and artificial intelligence into APM ,has led to predictive models becoming more exact. It helps the organization to avoid any mechanical failure. However, combining APM and FSM is a perfect idea because they help close automation service gap.
