Longtime age there lived a beautiful doe with its five little kids. The mommy goat came from Somalia and worked very hard to keep her family together in a single beautiful home. The firstborn was six years old and was called Joel. He was a very hard working and disciplined boy who loved to study and help his mother and siblings with different chores at home. The second child was four years old and was called Melewet. Melwet attended Head start schooling program and was very active and loved to play with his classmates. The third born was named Bulaba, a three-year-old and the only sister in the family. She was adorable and loved to play the princess with her friends. The fourth kid was a one-year-old called Burack, who only loved his food and look after his sister. Marca was only six months old and the last born of the family. He only enjoyed his bottle of milk and a nap. Their mother loved them so much and enjoyed spending time with them while they enjoyed their favorite hobby of dancing and playing charades especially on Sunday afternoons.
The doe took good care of her kids and always kept them out of danger. Unfortunately, she lost her job at one point and could not meet the needs of her family. She became devastated because she could not afford a decent shelter to keep her children warm. Luckily, after a long search, a Good Samaritan came through and helped her find a good temporary house to dwell in for the time being. It was a big house partitioned into smaller rooms where other goats also lived with their families. The kids complained a lot because the house was nothing compared to what they were used to. She encouraged them to embrace the place and even engaged them in making beautiful paint to pin on the walls of their room. Their new home was some kind of a community where the family goats shared whatever they had including food and clothes while the children played together. Melewt seemed to cope with the place and even encouraged the family that the situation was only temporary and that things will get back to normal.
One day Melewet got in trouble while at school for using socially offensive language. The teachers were not impressed because she could become a bad influence on the other kids in school and therefore they decided to summon her mother for a meeting to address the situation. The meeting was fruitful and the teachers together with Melewet's mom decided to come up with strategies to encourage Melewet to be disciplined. Being a single mother it was quite difficult to handle the kids in all areas of their lives. But one thing for sure Melewet's mom knew was that she has always instilled good discipline in her kids. Perhaps they had begun to pick up bad behaviors from other kids in the informal settlement. All along her kids had always polite and very respectful. They were loved by everybody and could be given food and toys.
Conclusion
One happy Sunday the shelter put a party for all the families. The kids were excited. Melewet could not hold on to her dancing moves because it was their family's hobby while they lived in their old house. She moved the whole party and everybody was happy. The people decided to get the mommy got a new job which she was very eager and thrilled to be able to work again and support her family. Later on, the family moved to a new small but better shelter where they are happily ever after.
