Additionally, this is by creating a range of products meant to provide the easiest options for losing weight with minimal health effects and regiment requirements on the users.
The focus of the research is to critique an article published on the Truthinadvertising.org website that discusses the use of Sensa crystals as weight loss regimens. In addition, the research will be divided into three primary parts, which include the Sensa weight loss regimen review, the product's misrepresentation, and a discussion. Also, the information attained from the research will raise the public's awareness of the necessity to perform aggressive research pertaining a product before using it as a weight loss regimen. Moreover, this is in an effort to minimize the effects of deceitful advertising in the United States that often makes consumers in the market use scientifically uncertified products like Sensa crystals.
Sensa Weight Loss Regimen Review
The online publication was created by Dr. Alan Hirsch and it purported to have developed a solution for losing weight. In this case, the article discussed a tantalizing crystal referred as Sensa that enables a person to lose 30 pounds in weight without undergoing through a dieting program (Truth-In-Advertising, 2011). Also, in the online publication, Sensa is marketed as an entirely new weight loss product, which is clinically proven as an effective and harmless methodology of cutting weight. Also, in the article, Dr. Hirsch stated that the weight loss product neither poses food restrictions on the user nor does it interfere with personal lifestyle (Truth-In-Advertising, 2011).
Sensa works by sprinkling it on food and it works by stimulating the section of the brain that influences the sense of smell, also known as the satiety center (Truth-In-Advertising, 2011). Additionally, such an influence then triggers the "I feel full Signal" in an individual, which then makes him/her eat less but feel immensely satisfied (Truth-In-Advertising, 2011). In this case, the idea behind Sensa is that it influences a person's stimuli to feed and in the process alters the individual's eating habit. Nevertheless, Dr. Hirsch's claims have been subjected under massive critic based on its unsubstantiated claims pertaining the effectiveness of Sensa as a weight loss regimen.
Misrepresentations
Every year, consumers in America lose billions of dollars due to falsified advertisements and deceptive marketing plans. Such deceptive marketing strategies gamut from fraudulent scans to blatant lies focused on tricking unaware consumers into purchasing various consumable products (Helfgott, 2008; Swayne & Dodds, 2011). Additionally, such misleading tactics not only impact on the American consumers but also redirect a substantial amount of money in the nation's economy as a result of false marketing (Smith et al., 2011). Also, products with quality products also lose out businesses as a result of the fraudulent marketing campaigns.
In the featured publication, Dr. Hirsch's claims about the Sensa product are false, misleading as well as unsubstantiated. Moreover, this is because there is no scientific evidence that has been conducted and employed to validate the effectiveness of the Sensa product as a weight loss regimen (Truth-In-Advertising, 2011). In fact, the efficaciousness of Sensa for weight loss has never been documented. Moreover, there is no clinical record that can be ascertained to have supported the existence of the link between the Sensa crystals and the satiety center in a person's brain. In fact, Sensa crystals have been considered by scientists as ineffective (Truth-In-Advertising, 2011).
Discussion
A number of publications have also been developed disapproving the effectiveness of Sensa crystals in weight reduction. Among them is an article published on the Shaping Fitness website (link: http://www.shapingconcepts.com) that states that there are no peer-reviewed publications that have been developed disapproving the effectiveness of the Sensa crystals in weight loss (Shaping Concepts, 2012). Also, in a different publication authored by Frey and Fogoros (2015) the original Sensa product that was created by Dr. Hirsch in 2009 did not succeed for dieters because it was too expensive and lacked the need to perform a dietary change (Frey & Fogoros, 2018). Conclusively, these publications have supported the hypothesis that Sensa crystals are ineffective and the public has been misinformed about its effectiveness through erroneous advertising.

In conclusion, in the recent past, numerous health and wellness corporations have exploited the weight loss needs of obese consumers in the United States. Moreover, this is by creating a range of products meant to provide the easiest options for losing weight with minimal health effects and regiment requirements on the users. However, it is evident that some corporations in the United States have created falsified advertisement campaigns focused on promoting biased products like Sensa crystals as weight loss supplements. Ultimately, from the findings of this research, it is evident that the Sensa crystals are ineffective when used for weight loss interventions. As such, the consumers in the market should disregard Sensa's advertisements since they are erroneous and misleading with a ploy to trick consumers into purchasing the ineffective products.
