Introduction

This paper examines two research processes that are crucial in the conduction of the study itself which is turned into choosing appropriate designs of the research and an intensive literature review focused on the evaluation of the evaluation and making edition on the multiple drafts involved in it. This paper put more focus on the contextual studies are open to selection bias as confirmed by the studies in England and India between 2009 and 2012. It majorly investigates whether the White tolerance in diverse neighborhoods is the result of a positive effect of inter-ethnic contact, or if it arises from the White flight, with anti-immigrant Whites exiting different areas but remaining within broader geographies as radicalized opponents of immigration which is elaborated by some theories as in the literature review.

The Family of Theories That the Literature Review Examines

The met analysis of the study has been prospected by various methods that have been in debate of which between the contact and the threat theory is established well under the analysis. The arguments were put forward after the experiment conduction and result in a study of such an experiment. The opinions from the contact have an effect on prejudice which involves the improvement of knowledge and greater empathy. The approaches otherwise pose a threat of claiming minor activation of anxiety among the ethnic members against the contact hypothesis. The danger of extensive tradition of the conducted research on the threat of the racial assumption

The theories include:

Contact Theory

This theory is based on a Considerable experimental evidence that has confirmed the concept of this theory which says that contact and threat theory sets the overarching framework for analysis. In a meta-analysis of 713 studies, it was found that contact tended in most cases to significantly reduce intergroup prejudice. The effect of contact on prejudice reduction operates via improved knowledge, greater empathy, and especially, a reduction in intergroup anxiety. This is the reason why people move from one place to another to lose the concentration about some of the technical issues in their original areas of residence.

The Threat Theory

This theory has critics against the contact hypothesis and according to it, the threat hypothesis which claims the presence of minorities activates a sense of anxiety among members of the ethnic majority. On the other hand, it as well results in a heightened conflict far from incubating toleration. An extensive tradition of research on the racial threat hypothesis which begins with the landmark studies of Key and Blalock revealed higher levels of White animus toward African Americans in the relatively diverse South, especially in counties with higher proportions of African Americans.

Self-Selection and White Flight Threat Theory Migration

This theory says that most moves take place over small distances because of cost and information and hence those who exit diverse neighborhoods typically take up residence within the full metropolitan area, county, or, in Britain, LA. This describes the pattern of higher-level opposition and ward-level tolerance. Researchers have addressed self-selection and have regressed place of residence on individual values such as conservatism or racial animus.

The gap in scholarly knowledge that the research is attempting to fill in.

The researchers in the proponents that they put forward do not cover the relationship between the ethics and the hypothesis. There is very little information about the courses of the variation in population as observed in Britain. This area still leaves a broader room for more research to be done so that relevant documentation can be made to avail this critical information.

The Dependent Variable (DV), the Independent Variable (IV), and the Level of Measurement (LOM)

Dependent Variable

The dependent variable according to the threat theory is the change in the percentage of ethnic minorities experienced by an individual when they move from one location to the other. It refers to the difference that the minority share between their ward of origin and ward of destination. This theoretically spans the range from 100 to +100 and ranges from +82 to 75 according to the data of this theory. In the second theory is a dummy variable coded 1 for an inter-ward move in a given year and 0 for a non-move or intra-ward move.

Independent Variables

It refers to the application of BHPS-UKHLS to observe the demographic, socioeconomic, and attitudinal characteristics of movers. In an ideal world, the data set would ask a question on attitudes to immigration. It is measured by the use of the evaluation of the data collection and analysis of their variance.

Types of Hypotheses Examined

There are majorly six types of prediction as explained in the article that is directional, no effect, directional, interactive, necessary, or sufficient. All of these have a different value and way of examination. This paper otherwise focuses on the directional hypothesis and deeply investigates the pioneers of the immigration. This is examined by having different experiments and researches done that are put to caparison to bring out clarity on the same. Otherwise, the course is not yet evident as per the article analyzed. This work is based on the research done concerning positive or negative change, relationship, or the difference between the variables of a population and this gives the prediction based on the past studies, extensive experience, accepted theory, and the literature on the positive contact.
