Introduction

From recent surveys, smoking cessation advice to adults has been deemed variable; providers have been focusing less on groups and areas with common smoking prevalence. In other instances, providers have been seen to only offer advice when most comfortable (Phillips, 2016). Therefore, since there is an urgent need for consistent intervention, there is dire need to form partnerships that will bring on board various professionals such as practitioners, patient organizations, suppliers and the health ministry.

Professional partnerships are essential in getting successful, especially while working in the health care sector. Its importance is essentially recognized by health care practitioners as it strengthens the capacity of services and projects (Phillips, 2016). As a result, professional partnerships can engage more stakeholders and broaden their reach to achieve shared objectives.

Factors

In developing professional partnerships, some of the most important factors to consider will include effectiveness of service delivery, efficiency in resourcing, development of policies at various levels, community and social development to strengthen community action.

The partnership, as a degree of integration, depends on the nature of its objective as well as its purpose. Regarding communication, we will require that each entity involved in the partnership gets well informed of the actions of the partnership (Phillips, 2016). Concerning coordination, each partner will be allowed to operate separately, but all action will be coordinated. Through collaboration, the partnership should allow involved stakeholders to work cohesively together. Finally, integration within the partnership should allow the partners to work as one agency.

Approaches

For the partnership, we will require formal agreements-which will be made through contracts and memoranda of understanding. The partnership with my selected primary care clinic will require transparency and accountability to achieve its potential. This partnership will also require to be based on agreed principles, commitment, mutual understanding as well as the respect for all partners' capacity (Phillips, 2016). We will need to have principles that are more apparent since the partnership is projected to be on a long-term basis.

Our partnership will be created into a multi-level type of partnership. It will involve both horizontal and vertical integration within the same agency as well as between different related agencies (Phillips, 2016). The health sector requires implementation of different levels of integration in partnerships to help the agencies to work towards a common objective.

Importance of Collaborating with Other Healthcare Professionals

Collaboration between healthcare professionals is important in that it will help in achieving set goals and standards. The priority in partnership is joint thinking and joint up working. A professional partnership will enforce effectiveness in working together to better outcomes.

Medical professional partnerships are usually concerned about patient outcomes. An effective partnership involves four main groups: healthcare professionals, patient organizations, suppliers and health ministries. Involvement of health professionals is quite essential since it directly commits to patient health (Brooks, 2003). A partnership between health professionals and suppliers ensures that practitioners get adequate resources and supplies to help in patient care, thus improving health outcomes. Patient organizations usually ensure that patients get proper representation. Their involvement in the partnership will ensure that patients get the representation and let practitioners understand their needs (Brooks, 2003). Finally, health ministries are mainly involved in the partnership to provide oversight on health care service delivery. Therefore, with an integration of the various branches of the partnership, it can focus its priority on improving patient health outcomes
