Introduction
Health people, 2020 is a program that was designed by the nation to promote health and the disease prevention initiative to the massively increased cases of type 2 Diabetes in most of the people. The incident of Diabetes has commonly affected the Hispanic to; population, which has been more adverse due to the increase in the Hispanic population in the USA. Therefore this paper is mainly going to be concerned with the main objectives of the Health People 2020 in Hispanic History. Also, the methodologies that will include the description of the level of prevention, the activities, and the steps to effectively implement will be analyzed.
Health People 2020 was established to eliminate health disparities and achieve health equity and improving health for all groups. The nation and the general healthcare sector identified that due to the minority of the Hispanic population group in the United States, the disparities in the healthcare sector existed due to the poor control of the health care access. That means that most of the Hispanic population were mostly composed of black people who were mostly affected; hence, issues of race-ethnicity led to differences in the provision of health services. Also, many variations were continuously evolving in the healthcare system (Gunderson et al., 2015). Therefore, after the government under the health care sector analyzed such a need, the establishment of Health People 2020 was mainly designed to eliminate such disparities and promote equity in the health care sector.
Therefore, ensuring equity in the healthcare sector, Health People 2020 was to reduce the cases of type 2 diabetes in Hispanic history. The program promotes fairness, which targets the whole community, ensuring that everyone has equal chances to get healthcare services without basing on the color and race of the person (Pu et al., 2015). Therefore the Health People 2020 was to provide affordable care services such as treatment equally and design the preventive measures which are to be taken to eliminate the cases of diabetes among the Hispanic population.
Also, Health People 2020 was designed to create healthy social and physical environments for the Hispanic population. Most of the Hispanic population was socially isolated because of their race and body color. Therefore such exposed to lack of hazardous environment subjecting them to poverty that whenever such diabetes incidences occur, they were unable to cater for their treatment (Balk et al., 2015). That is, they failed to provide for some of these health conditions associated with diabetes, which seemed to be more costly to them. Hence the Health People 2020 program was designed to create an environment where people will interact freely and eliminate such cases where people are exposed to poverty due to body color.
Methodology
Level of Prevention
The level of prevention is, therefore based on tertiary prevention. That type 2 diabetes was now common in the Hispanic population, where most of the people were identified with such a disease. That is because most of them were exposed to the harsh environment and other factors that led to such a condition is more common. To reduce such instances, therefore, the program would mainly focus now on the treatment; the health care sector was implemented some of the measures that can be taken to cure and prevent more occurrence of diabetes from reducing the instance of the resulted death and suffering among people.
For instance, environmental factors will only result from increasing the tendency of genetic of type 2 diabetes, which is characterized by obesity. Intervening such a case where most of the Hispanic population is exposed to such an environment, therefore, requires that the health care sector aims at ensuring a conducive environment where people can stay without being affected (Mozaffarian et al., 2015). Therefore, Health People 2020 will mainly aim at tertiary prevention as from the research it is indicated that most of the people are already concerned with the type 2 diabetes which can only be prevented and implementing the new actions that may reduce the adverse effects which treatment and frequent diagnoses.
Goals
The goal of this project is to eliminate the health disparities and achieve health equity and improving health for all groups and to create a healthy social and physical environment for the Hispanic population.
Objectives
The objective, therefore of this project will be concerned primarily on informing the public about type 2 diabetes and its effects and the measures that are implemented based on the background of the Hispanic population. For instance, this will also enhance the proper understanding the problems health care sector is undergoing to help the program design and developing the type 2 diabetes care and education to enhance an appropriate environment to improve the survival for the well-being of the general society.
Activities
The government, through the health care sector and the program of Health People 2020, will be needed to provide healthcare services to the population and encourage people to get medical attention. Also, adequate training of the nurses and public campaigns to increase on the level of knowledge to both healthcare givers and the population as a whole, providing affordable services equally to enable easy access to health care services.
Therefore in carrying out the project, it will involve some logical stepwise method to ensure that it achieves high-quality results. First of all, the draft implementation program will be presented. That is the leading group of stakeholders will include the Board of Directors in the Health care sector. After the hay has accepted the offer, then the financing of the project will follow where they will involve the finance ministry as the main stakeholders of the benefits accrued from the implementation. After they have accepted, the project will be handed over to the healthcare department to be finally implemented to assist the citizens of the Hispanic population.
Therefore, the project is designed to benefit the whole Hispanic population, whether infected with type 2 diabetes or not. That is because it's a disease where everyone is in danger of being infected. Therefore, the program will help everyone in society, including those who did not participate in the process. That is because one of the main goals was to enhance equity to the whole Hispanic population. In the participation of the program; therefore, it's voluntary for one to participate as it's mainly designed to look for ways which can help eliminate the type 2 diabetes condition. Others will be able to benefit from the program as it is concerned with implementing long term strategies to help curb the disease. The approximation number of people is generally not known due to the continued increase in population.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the Health people 2020 is a program mainly designed to help bring equity and eliminate healthcare disparity. That is to help reduce the type 2 diabetes condition by establishing how the process will be carried out. Hence the Hispanic population has been used to reflect out how the minorities suffer due to inadequate access to essential services. Consequently, Health people 2020 program has been designed to reduce the cases of the disease.
