Upon reflection on the different fields of nursing, I realized that working together with other professionals requires excellent communication skills, as shown in the video. The adult nurses demonstrated how effective communication is not limited to verbal and written communication; rather, it how to breakdown words in simple terms so that a sick patient who is in pain and needs cure can understand as well as the family member if required.

Moving further towards highlighting how this learning, which I have undergone, has helped to influence my feature practice. The first thing I must acknowledge in these studies is how my knowledge of nursing has broadened. Before now, I only see adult nursing as the primary nursing where other branches of nursing are subordinate; after this learning, it increased my scope with much understanding of how every part of nursing is vital to our daily life.

This has now shifted my view towards nursing in a different light. It is now making me have a different thought on how I will like to practice my career in the future. Initially, I had little or no knowledge of how other branches of nursing work. Today, I have decided that I will continue to study so I can specialize in a particular field such a prescribe or working in another field of nursing or moving into becoming a community nurse or going into a teaching carrier.

In the future, I would choose the path of adult nursing due to the numerous important aspects of adult nursing that I have learned in the lesson. I have learned that a patient-centered approach to healthcare providers is essential in the adult nursing profession. As such, when I become an adult nurse shortly, I will ensure that all my practices are centered on and around the well-being of the patients themselves.

I will also ensure that the opinions of the patients are adopted in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing practices. This section has also equipped me with knowledge of the importance of evidence-based health care. For instance, I learned that evidence-based practices in nursing recognize the fact that scientific evidence is essential in making appropriate decisions within the adult nursing profession.

As such, in the future, I will adopt the evidence-based practice in my adult nursing profession through the adoption of scientific research findings. Most significantly, I learned the need for the adult nurse to take essential advice from the senior leaders within the profession. I also learned the importance of upholding sound relationships with the patients.

Through the lessons, I have learned the various roles of an adult nurse, such as the provision of promotional advice as well as essential advice on smoking, drinking, and consumption of harmful substances. This knowledge will help advise my patients in my future career as an adult nurse.

Most importantly, I learned that health ethics is essential in any nursing profession, including adult nursing practice. As such, I will ensure that I uphold high levels of work ethics within my healthcare profession. For instance, I learned that maintaining a patient's privacy and confidentiality is highly essential in all nursing professions, including adult nursing practices.
