As a result, proper measures need to be initiated to make them successful in postsecondary education. While education has been the key to success among many students, appropriate approaches need to be deployed by the students to meet the required epitome.

High-Impact Learning: The lecture-based learning model has played an integral role in education in the recent past since its inception. However, due to the increased understanding among students and the use of better technology in learning, the process needs to be adversely personalized (Bailey et al.,2016). For instance, to make students more successful after their academic life, educators can combine leading elements to digital teaching with traditional teaching, while using analytics to enhance curriculum among individual learners, and focus on their competencies as opposed to helping them graduate sooner.

Blended Learning: Report from the Center for Digital Education shows that hybrid or blended learning models have a significant impact on improving test scores and comprehension for up to eighty percent of the students. According to Means & Neisler (2019), the initiating these models helps in blending self-paced online learning and other essential learning elements for an amicable outcome. Competency-Based Education: Nontraditional students with a variety of situations and backgrounds that bar them from the old higher education model have not been successful after postsecondary education. Their varying experiences and knowledge have a significant impact on their future success, and in most cases may not finish the entire course life without involving themselves in other activities. However, through introducing competency-based education that is characterized by attractive alternatives to other systems, students are usually more equipped. Among students, competency-based education rewards exceptional experience and determine the credibility of learning through a demonstrated proficiency. As a result, it allows students to be vast adequate knowledge in their areas of expertise.

Structured Pathways: The success of students after their graduation depends on the nature of the pathway that guided them. Availability of academic plans after enrollment is the first step that can help a student to make proper choices in courses or programs to choose as well as timely support that can help them stay focused.
