Since my childhood, I have always been fascinated by offering quality services to patients especially from less fortunate backgrounds. Through solving complex problems and presenting an emphatical attitude towards patient care, my desire has grown along this course over the past years. The career of nursing is quite an involving and hectic but to me, I believe it is quite fulfilling. I have developed a soft spot for people who are in constant need of health care. In West Africa, Ghana - where I come from- there is a continuous need for quality healthcare. Upon my completion of studying, I will facilitate healthcare services in Ghana to ensure people receive better care.
My short-term goals are to be a nurse who presents general care. However, for my long-term career goals, I would like to become a professor and to contribute to the ever-dynamic career of nursing through research and development and developing sustainable frameworks through which complex problems can be tackled and restoring the health of people. To achieve this, I believe (insert name of University) will help me realize my dreams through learning relevant concepts extensively and shaping my career path.
Moreover, I enjoy teamwork in a setting where care is required. This is my driving urge towards this career. I have come to realize that nursing is a lifetime occupation. I believe I will not only be a nurse to my esteemed patients but also to the young upcoming nurses I will be one to be imitated as a role model for quality health care. I have a kind heart, I have a special way to connect with people emotionally, I also enhanced my interpersonal skills as well as developed excellent communication. These are some of my primary values that I uphold in high regard and believe will make me a quality person in the society.
I find pleasure in engaging in health promotions activities which are aimed at transforming behaviors of the youth to impact healthy living. As such, I take part in various community services which are usually run in targeted communities to create awareness and enhance education on the benefits of living in a healthy manner. These activities I would deliver them, even more, when I become a fully-fledged nurse practitioner. Vulnerable community requires immediate care, guidance, and love. Using my interpersonal skills, I would enhance the communities know how to feel empowered to take the initiative of their lives and communicate their problems to the relevant health system. Even after graduation, I would proceed to further my studies in the nursing career and I believe I will find pleasure in this field even deeper.
To me, nursing is much more different career compared to any other. I believe nurses hold a special place in people's lives through delivering healthcare. Nursing school will offer me an opportunity to develop, enhance and sustain my skills. I believe that I possess the resilience and capabilities enroll in your college. I also hope you give me the great honor of joining the prestigious institution as a nursing student to learn in a cultural diversified environment with relevant resources and conducive learning space.
