I finished my first higher education in the year 2010, where I graduated with higher education in medical secretary and transcription at King Faisal University Dammam. I then began working as an office director at the medical director's office in King Fahad Hospital before starting my bachelor's degree in science health information and graduated in 2017.
In addition to my academic success, I have also achieved various certifications that have sharpened my skills. They include; Six Sigma (Black, Green, Yellow Belt), Occupational Safety & Health Certified (OSHA), Certificate for Project Management Training Course (PMP), Negotiation Associate. Scrum Fundamentals Certified, and Certified Professional in Healthcare Performance Improvement (CPHPI). Lean & Change Acceleration Process, Quality, Patient Safety & Accreditation Training, Advanced Clinical Audit Training, Total Quality Management in Healthcare Facilities, and Lean & Change Acceleration Process Overview.
In research achievement, I made a literature review for patients absconded in the hospital to review why patients left the hospital and how we can as health facilities minimize those numbers. Through my study, I found that our area is struggling with a patient that come for pain killed and addicts patient how admitted themselves for medication and they left after that with the absence of pain management clinics and the group services nothing has been changed. I created a study to determine the right action among 12 patients led by one of the most addicted patients who was selling those medications to others. I provide him with a salary to lead this group weekly group discussion and pain management clinic to show excellent results in those patients.
Additionally, I participate in writing many policies and procedures that have enabled me to achieve all the certifications mentioned above, like back sigma, OSHA, and CPHI. I was also the change agent representing my region for three life cycles of improvement project trained by GE.
Reason for Undertaking Graduate Work
I have always loved to be a change agent in my society. Also, I love the hospital. I also like to be part of the community that creates new systems that will serve patients and help them through their recovery journeys. Additionally, I participate in educating several hospitals across the region about risk management, occurrence variance reporting, sentinel and adverse events, hospital, and accreditation process and change management. Based on these experiences and my interest in research, I believe it is time to elevate my research skills to the next level. The graduate program will give me the right skills to do research critical in policy formulations and change management. Additionally, the graduate program will open more opportunities for me to advance my career to managerial positions and therefore get more challenging and advanced tasks.
My Academic Interest
I have an Academic interest in Quality & Patient Safety, Change Management, Sustainability Management, Hospital Administration. These are what I covered in academics. They represent what I want to advocate for. These interests will drive my ambitions in seeing policy development and change that will improve the quality of life for patients in the hospital, not only in my home country but also in my home country around the world. Additionally, some of this interest is still contemporary issues in management, such as sustainability, and I want to be among the pioneers of this field.
My Professional Goals
My career goal includes: leading in creating and changing new and automated systems to be used in hospitals and be able to serve multiple patients. I want to be part of a society that will develop integrated management systems for taking care of patients that can be operated in remote locations. In a world where integration is becoming crucial, and achieving sustainability is essential, I want to lead in development and implementation. I also want to contribute to creating systems that are solid for taking care of patients suffering from addiction.
I want to acquire skills in change methodology that includes learning and work that offers patients care. I am looking forward to creating quick aid centers in the country and leading them to serve hospitals and control changes among them.
