Introducton
The first discussion by Calob takes a look at the Attribution Theory and its relevance in the real world. The post indicates the definition behind the theory and proceeds to apply it in a real-life situation. In the following case, the theory would be applied in the Health sector where it would be utilized to determine the cause behind poor performance in hospitals and clinics. The post explains in detail the two types of factors that affect an individual's outcome, that is, external and internal factors. The mention of software products that may also be used to provide more insight on the same is an excellent point given the technological advancements that have been made over the last couple of years. The writer also mentions the benefits of using this theory in decision-making.
Response to Jonathan’s Post on Attribution Theory
The second post by Jonathan on the Attribution Theory is also very informative as it mentions why the theory is important in developing explanations behind certain events. However, the writer fails to provide more details about the theory itself and jumps into its application in real life. Like in the previous post, the author indicates the utilization of the theory in determining the reason behind poor performance. However, the writer indicates how the Attribution Theory can be used to improve performance by indicating whether the factors behind the performance are internal or external and then coming up with ways to improve on them.
Response to Delore’s Post on Career Planning
The post by Delore focuses on career planning. Like in my post, the author indicates the need for career planning with the assumption that the individual has already secured a job and would like to improve from there. In that case, the article provides information on how to achieve this. The efforts made appear to be largely self as compared to the environment that surrounds these individuals. In that case, one needs to communicate their goals with the necessary people for one to succeed in that company. The author also mentions the need to keep an open mind and adapt to the working space without compromising the long-term career plan.
Response to Elizabeth’s Post on Career Planning
The post by Elizabeth is a more general definition of what career planning is from the point one enters college. The writer encourages students to start planning for their careers as they select their areas of study while in school. This is the first step towards selecting a career that works for particular individuals. After graduation, the working space is another area where one can plan their careers to find job satisfaction because of the individual plans ahead. However, the writer fails to provide examples of how the plan should look like as well as the important areas that require concentration in coming up with career goals.
