To begin with, I would consider the advancement of caregiving services to senior adults. Caregiving would involve the recruitment of caregivers in homes to the affected individuals. Caregivers will be assisted by at least a health care professional to advance treatment to the victim from home as opposed to the hospital (Lilly et al., 2019). I would push for the government to come up with a health insurance coverage such as Medicare for every senior adult in the region together with making health care services related to chronic diseases available and affordable to them.

I would also try to reduce or preferably eliminate the levels of poverty in the region by encouraging them to carry out light business in the community. Among the people that I expect to support my effort in curbing the situation down include the community health facility, the administration of the city, and the general public who will aid in raising money for the unfortunate senior elders. Those who would probably oppose my efforts are some of the community leaders who might term it as a costly way to take care of the top adult health and to instead leave it upon themselves.

The majority of the community members have a spiritual belief that it is normal for senior adults to suffer as they advance to the last days of their lives. Therefore, they are not to go against their health. I will monitor the programs by maintaining a regular check-up with the senior adults, together with encouraging them to adhere to the plans. Protection of the Older Adults Against COVID-19

With the increased vulnerability of the older people in the community towards the risk of contracting COVID-19, the city should be at the forefront of supporting the older adults in his time of the pandemic. For instance, the city should consider coming up with a charity program that will see essential things collected together particular food and given to the older adults who are unable to work (Walls, 2016). The community should also consider reserving places for those that have intellectual disabilities and lack permanent homes to isolate themselves.

The community, through its leaders, should come up with policies aimed at protecting the older adults, such as preventing their social conduct and limiting it to specific places and times. On the other hand, at an individual level, I will take to task to educate the older adults about the possible ways of transmission of the disease among people. To provide special protection to the older adults against COVID-19, we should help them in accessing the necessary health equipment of security, such as masks and gloves. Sanitizers should also be availed to them at all times.

Particular challenges experienced in trying to protect the older adults include the intense poverty that is experienced by older people. There is also the inaccessibility of older adults to access quality health care. I think a reduction of poverty among the people by encouraging them to engage in necessary economic activities and improvement of the health care services might aid in protecting the majority of the older population against the COVID-19 pandemic.
