How to Identify a Person With a High Risk of Falls?

A medical practitioner would identify that a person has a high risk of fall when he or she has a high percentage on the score test. A score percentage below 50% outlines that the person has a high risk of fall (Hightower et al., 2015). Besides, people who are at a high risk of fall individuals above 65 years. The reason is that these people have the low function of their physical body resulting in high risk of fall.

The questioner is developed by a medical practitioner who investigates and handles patients who suffer from falls. The document is created to help an individual and a medical practitioner to help handle the cases of falls in senior citizens (Schoene et al., 2017). The reason is that most senior citizens are prone to fall. These falls have adverse effects on their lives because they cause injuries as well as deaths to many people. Identifying and calculating the score results would help a medical practitioner to treat, prevent, and take care of such cases before they get out of hand. Falls can also be associated with some diseases such as obesity, failure in the nervous system, and kidney problem. Some cases are hereditary while others are acquired in hospital facilities. Calculating the risk of fall would help a medical practitioner to determine the number of such cases in a particular locality and identify the type of treatment the patient should receive to prevent such cases (Schoene et al., 2017).
