The issue of school uniforms has been debated on severally. The consequent results are that different people have raised differing opinions on whether schools should adopt uniforms or not. It is clear that most schools are in agreement with the introduction of uniforms in learning institutions. However, some stakeholders do not think that uniforms have any impact on the academic arena and therefore disagree with the establishment of uniforms. In my opinion, school uniforms are important. Opponents of school uniforms argue that school uniforms would not have any impact on student behavior in the school; neither will it improve the students’ academic work. However, I cannot entirely agree with them because school uniforms would make a difference in Frontier International Academy because they have many benefits for the entire school community. That is the student, parents, and the school administration.

As a proponent of the idea of school uniforms, my first benefit of school uniforms in Frontier International Academy is that it will promote equality among the students (Bunch). Students come from diverse backgrounds and different social status. Uniforms would give all students a chance to feel like part of the school community without being identified by their social status and backgrounds. Moreover, when all students are in school uniforms, the students will have a sense of pride and a higher level of self-esteem and confidence.

Secondly, school uniforms would be beneficial in Frontier International Academy because they would reduce peer pressure, especially that which comes along due to dress code (Bunch). Many students are drowned by peer pressure and want to have items like those owned by their peers. As a result of the pressure, the students pass it on to the parents who are expected to provide. This causes strains for both the student and the parent as they both strain to get resources so that the student may fit in with the peers.

Also, Frontier International Academy would reduce bullying instances with the adoption of the school uniforms. Some students get bullied for not being on the same level as others, especially by the type of dress code. A student who is not able to afford elegant fashion designs may end up becoming violent or engaging in theft so that he can be similar to others or so that he can stop others from bullying him or her.

The pressure of expressing personality through dress code is a problem of not having school uniforms. This pressure may lead to truancy. Truancy is the tendency of not attending school for no good reason. This problem can be a result of low self-esteem and lack of confidence in a pupil. A student may become truant due to his or her dress code in comparison to that of other students. A solution to such a problem would be introducing uniforms so that no student will be absent from school due to inferiority of his or her dress code.

Moreover, uniforms for Frontier International Academy would keep students focused in class without getting distracted by choice of dress code.it is evident that some students dress to get more attention from peers, and this can be a hindrance in the learning process. Such a student distracts all others, and this makes them lose their focus.

In addition, Frontier International Academy can improve the entire institution discipline once students are in uniform. This is so because the administration can easily monitor what a student brings to school. This means that items and substances that are dangerous will not find a way into the institution hence making the place safe for everyone (Stanley). This will help to uphold high levels of discipline since every student must adhere to the uniform rules.

Intruders can also be easily identified within Frontier International Academy once uniforms are introduced (McCarty). The school administrators can easily get to them, unlike when each student is wearing different types of clothes. Furthermore, the uniforms can help do away with gangs that identify themselves using certain colors or a specific dress code. Once all students are in uniform, they are equalized, and hence the gang influence on other students’ lowers.

Another major reason why the uniform is beneficial in Frontier International Academy is that the students will be prepared for the future when they have to dress professionally at workplaces. Many institutions require employees to be in a specific uniform, and so if a student is already trained to groom into a school uniform, he or she will not find it hard after graduation when seeking a job. The earlier the students are in uniform, the more they are prepared for professional life.

Another benefit of school uniforms is that it reduces morning struggles. Every student attending Frontier International Academy may experience a difficult morning routine as he or she prepares for school. This is so because the student has to choose a dress code that he or she finds appealing to him or her and to other students in school. The student ends up either missing the bus or getting to school late. This problem can be solved once all pupils are to wear a uniform. Morning routines would be eased hence saving time and having no dilemma of what to wear.

School uniforms also increase respect among students. Similar uniforms for the pupils help them to see equality among them hence promotes respect. Respect also strengthens among the students and teachers. Respect among pupils helps reduce violent scenarios in school. Also, parents with their children in frontier academy will have a lesser burden with the introduction of school uniforms. This is because they will buy at least two pairs of uniforms that can last for a longer period instead of struggling to keep up with the fashion trends for their children.

School uniforms for students at Frontier International Academy will help reduce competition among the student. The completion is based on who has a better dress code than another or on the fashion design a student is wearing. With every student in uniform, there would be no gap; hence all students will have a common ground where none of them feels uncomfortable due to dress code.

School uniform in Frontier International Academy reduces the social conformity in an institution (McCarty). Social conformity is an influence that leads to change in behavior so that one can fit in a group. Many students change their dressing habits so that he or she can feel accepted. This can have a negative impact since the student may end up conforming to more dangerous and immoral habits as he or she strains to keep up with the group. School uniforms will create an environment where a student does not need to change behavior in order to fit in.

Lastly, school uniforms can be used as an identity of an institution. The uniform can act as a symbol for the school. This is important because anyone interested in the school's whereabouts can easily get help by describing the type of uniform used in the institution.

Conclusion

To sum up, it would be right to say that introduction of uniforms in frontier academy would have a great positive impact. With all the benefits derived from school uniforms, they should make the wearing of uniforms mandatory for all students. Parents and all other stakeholders who disagree should be enlightened about the significance of school uniforms in order to see the benefits that come along with wearing school uniforms.
