Introduction
As a PMHNP, I will show competence in dealing with different populations in all departments within a mental facility. I will review psychiatric medication, education, and counseling to patients and families, promoting health maintenance in specific facilities. In consideration of responsibilities, I provided a list of objectives that would be necessary for better practicum activities.
Objective I: Pediatric Behavioral Health Integration
I would need to use the skills required to study of child's mood, behavior. I will make sure every child gets pediatric primary care so that they access the best clinical training in established institutions. Finally, I will specify the type of care needed for the child, which could be integrated or collaborative attention.
Objective II: Adolescent and Child Content
The practitioner role is to suggest workforce personnel to train and educate adolescents in drug abuse (Weber, Delaney & Snow, 2016). The other mental health practitioners focus on the distinguished group of individuals according to ages. Activities include examining, identify, mitigate, and prevent.
Objective III: Adolescent SBIRT Process
By the end of this study, I will make sure students can identify the adolescent use of drugs through brief intervention. I have adequate knowledge of screening to identify their problem in a simulation program.
Objective IV: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
The main focus would be detail analysis would include treatment of mental disorder problems such as anxiety. I will indulge in question and answers, use of videos, and lecture to understand cognitive model basics.
Objective V: CBT activities
I will use exercises to help the student restructure CBT and have an initial assessment of the problem to the final case in all populations until adult. Techniques and activities which include journaling, cognitive distortion, and next box (for children) (Militello, Kell, & Melnyk, 2012).
Objective VI: Follow Up
By the end of this study, I will make sure that students can make the appropriates transitions through the follow-up stages after treatment completion. I have adequate knowledge of nursing training skills such as emotional regulation, stress management, setting objectives.
Objective VII: Evidence-based Clinical Analysis
I will use my knowledge to help the student use evidence-based treatment in Psychiatric disorder treatment. Evidence-based treatment includes a combination of thoughts, emotions, and behavior.
Conclusion
Conclusively, a Psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) incorporates personal, and social with the help of Evidence-based treatment. I envisage a better future, as I am confident I will achieve my objectives.
