The fats are also essential in ensuring that one has enough body warmth; it also protects body organs. Fats are also a crucial part of a healthy diet since they promote the absorption of nutrients and producing important hormones.

When there is less intake of fat than the required amount, the body is denied enough calories. When less fat is consumed than the recommended amount, one tends to eat more carbs; when the intake of carbs is more than fat, a person becomes hungry all the time. As a result, the blood sugar becomes unstable.

A slightly higher intake of cholesterol leads to high levels of HDL in the blood, which reduces my risk of heart disease. A higher intake of fat was not intentional, but the benefits of HDL outweighs the effects f high fat intake

Carbohydrates are an important part of the diet because the body relies on foods rich in carbohydrates to make glucose, the main energy source in the body. The best carbohydrates for consumption should have high amounts of fibre. Carbohydrates with a lot of fibres take a long time to produce glucose and allow the body to absorb nutrients and calories. Refined carbohydrates have been manufactured to remove replace parts of the grain with sugar.

When the amount of carbohydrates intake is lower than the required amount, the body breaks down protein and other substances into glucose. While consuming low carbs was not intentional, the accompanying health benefits are rewarding. I am glad to find out that I have avoided health issues such as high blood pressure, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and cardiovascular diseases. While there are risks such as weaknesses and fatigue, on the downside, I am at risk of having low blood sugar to a point where I can develop ketones in the body.
