Question 1
Introduction
In this plan, the strategy of both finding and hiring teachers in a new district school will be analyzed. The main target of this draft plan is to hire teachers in a new district school. It aims at ensuring that the whole hiring process is coordinated smoothly and that it is completed. Since the process of hiring will be conducted jointly by two teams, that is, DPSCD and also a local university, it is therefore compulsory that resources, information, and arrangements have to be made with the help of the two teams.
The hiring process is to be done in three main parts; aspiring candidates will present their applications, which will be reviewed by both teams. Interviews will be conducted only for the applicants to test their suitability for the job. Finally, physical interviews will be done for applicants by a panel consisting of leaders from the two organizations.
Step 1: Reviewing of applications
Candidates' applications will be scrutinized and analyzed by leaders from both institutions, DPSCD, and a local university to confirm whether they meet the expected qualifications. The applications should be presented within two weeks. Members of the interviewing panel should check the academic qualifications of the candidates and their language proficiency.
Step 2: Carrying out interviews through phone screening
Before the face-to-face, applicants will be contacted via the phone by the interviewers. The phone screening is usually done to ensure that the details submitted by the applicants check out with what they say over the phone. Additional information like the date and time of the face-to-face interview is also passed to the candidates. The phone screening interviews should be done a day after the final application day.
Step 3: Face-to-face interview
Finally, the panel comprising leaders from DPSCD and the local university conducts a one-on-one interview with all the shortlisted candidates. The interview should be conducted in one of the boardrooms within the new school where the teachers will be working. The interviews are to be done two weeks after the phone screening interview.

Subject: Draft plan.
Dear Sir/ Madam,
As the administrative, executive and human resource specialist having been tasked with coordinating the process of selecting teacher candidates who are supposed to teach in the new district schools, I made the following assumptions.
My first assumption is that both teams have people who are qualified to review candidates' applications and interview them. The panel, which comprises personnel from DPSCD and a local university is assumed to have a lot of expertise in the teaching profession so as to be able to bring out the best candidates.
The second assumption is that qualified teachers exist within the shortlisted candidates. The qualifications are based on academics, experience, and good communication and interactive skills. The interviewing panel is expected to be strict with the above-mentioned qualifications.
My last assumption is that the whole hiring process will be free, fair as well and transparent. There should be no suspicious, prior dealings between any member of the interviewing panel and an applicant.
I would like to inquire whether the timelines I have indicated in my draft are appropriate and whether the interviewers will have ample time to prepare for the exercise.
Finally, I would like to request you to permit me to organize refreshments and sitting allowances for the interviewers.
Thank you.
Regards.
Name.
Executive administrative specialist for human resources.
