Introduction

A personal leadership philosophy is a strategic compilation of concepts and principles that a person should have to examine the information and carefully analyze different leadership cases (Xu, Caldwell & Anderson, 2016). To be precise, personal leadership philosophy is the guideline that offers people with different approaches to various situations. Also, leadership philosophy provides an understanding of values, ideologies, and expectations that reflect how leadership issues are handled. I believe that every leader should possess leadership philosophies that will enable them to crack down on leadership issues. Some of the leadership philosophies elements that guide my leadership include honesty, being visionary, excellent communicating skills, a team player, and being respectful. This essay will focus on identifying and evaluating my leadership behaviors based on different scholarly resources. The essay will also explore CliftonStrengths Assessment from the Module's Discussion and how the results in the Module relate to my leadership traits.

The most significant thing that boosts the motivation of employees is working in a healthy environment. A healthy environment is a workplace that enhances the productivity of healthcare professionals and maintaining high standards concerning patient care (Boamah et al., 2018). In addition to this Module's readings, CliftonStrengths Assessment, scholarly resources such as International Journal of Project Management, International Journal of Nursing Studies, and Nursing Outlook is useful in evaluating the impact of leadership behaviors in creating a healthy work environment. These resources emphasize those leadership behaviors have a significant influence in enhancing work relationships of employees and leaders and also shaping a better healthy work environment (Aga, Noorderhaven & Vallejo, 2016; Boamah et al., 2018; Laschinger et al., 2015). For instance, a leader with excellent communication skills can ensure the nursing workforce has limited stressful cases such as high absenteeism when the leaders communicate well with the nurses. This means that the leaders have personal communication with the nurses and help them solve their different concerns.

Further, the books note that leaders play a significant part in ensuring that the nurses retain their work by creating a productive healthcare environment to offer quality results for the patients and staff nurses. Some of the leadership behaviors presented in the three sources include leaders being grounded in integrity and ethics, inspiring those around them, solving problems effectively, and being respectful and honest.

Results of the CliftonStrengths Assessment conclude that leadership philosophy should echo leadership traits such as being a learner, restorative, strategic, responsible, and consistent. These are essential qualities that will ensure a leader provides a healthy work environment for employees and patients. Also, these results relate to my leadership traits, which are excellent in communication skills, honest, respectful, team player, and visionary. A respectful leader will always be consistent in his/her leadership because the leader will treat everyone in the same respectful manner. Also, a leader who is a learner and strategic will stand for a team playing. He/she will learn the value of team representing and as a result, implement team playing in his/her leadership, which will have an impact on visionary skills. In this light, the results of the CliftonStrengths Assessment have links with my leadership traits.

Based on the three sources and the CliftonStrengths Assessment, I think leadership philosophy should reflect all the positive characteristics that will enable effective and efficient leadership encounters. In this light, a good leader should be an excellent communicator, learner, respectful, supportive, strategic, visionary, and many other qualities.

Also, personal leadership philosophy should have core values such as honesty, consistency, and visionary. A personal mission or vision statement is also paramount. In this case, my mission statement is to positively influence the life of every patient and employee in healthcare. I would also wish to strengthen critical behaviors such as setting concrete goals and implementing them and being passionate about my leadership role. For me to improve these fundamental behaviors, I will always consider what I need to achieve and use the SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound) goal strategy. The set goals will help me have an insight into what is needed in the healthcare center hence creating a healthy working environment.
