My entire life, since childhood, has been dreaming of becoming a doctor. I developed this interest at my sixth age when I became a victim of ill health from diabetes. Fortunately, I recovered after attending several health care. Notably, I learned that my parents spent a lot of money on my medication, but no specific drug could give me quick treatment. Alongside, the doctors failed to give my parents positive attitudes towards my illness and made them more depressed (Constancio, 2019). Such doctors' actions inspired my dreams to search for drugs and promote a good relationship with the patients for better mental health.

Performance in Sciences

Besides, my excellent performance in sciences at the high school level made me realize more potential in medicine. Notably, biology and chemistry are the primary subjects for medicine (Diane, 2020). After school, I aimed at joining the university to study biology at both degree and master levels. Consequently, I enjoyed conducting biological researches at home while waiting to join the college. Through various researches, I learned that medicine does not mean only diagnosing and giving medication but motivating patients as well (Diane, 2020). As a result, earlier development of ideas concerning medicine significantly develops one's carrier.

Subsequently, my experience working with intensive care and accident management organization as an unskilled worker created a more significant impact on developing my study. I joined this organization after high school to boost my financial status as well as learning some medical tips. However, I became frustrated with some clinical restrictions that almost made me retreat (Cooper, 2018). After some conversations with the medical officers and my parents, I decided to study medicine. Fortunately, I gained many skills concerning laboratories and conducting first aids to the patients. Besides, I developed social interactions with the public in terms of offering to cancel to the patients.

As a fact, I felt much pain when I lost my dad from bacterial meningitis. My dad went to the hospital in better condition but worsened due to doctors' ignorance. The doctors went on strike that fateful night and could not attend to dad. However, I learned that one of the nurses came the following day and diagnosed him, but it was too late. Since that day, I developed more desires in valuing others' lives to prevent losing more people. Therefore, I made more efforts to study medicine and work passionately in ensuring the saving of lives.

Medicine

Consequently, although medicine has become my favorite course to pursue, it entails several challenges that I should overcome. The course seems to be more expensive in terms of school fees as compared to others. Alongside medicine consumes more time to study, and it requires accuracy (Constancio, 2019). Besides, the course needs more intelligence and a social person who can relate well with patients. However, learning challenges is essential in looking for their solutions. Therefore, my dream of studying medicine is unstoppable.

Conclusion

In conclusion, as discussed in the paper, various reasons that inspired me to study medicine are still intact. I remember such reasons every time I feel down, and they make me rise. I do remember my past from my illness and my dad's death and feel more motivated. Alongside my excellent performance, I science and experienced I gained from my work. However, I do consider the advice I received from medical officers on the way to overcome challenges in medicine. I, therefore, recommend anyone to work towards his or her dreams.
