Introduction

A vacation is one such an exciting moment in a person’s life. It enables one to operate from a relaxed environment free from the usual work commitments that are often demanding and tiresome. The place of choice may vary depending on someone’s preferences and ability to afford the costs of going on a vacation. The majority would wish to have their vacation skiing, enjoy the summer breeze, climb mountains, and visit parks and museums. Every one of us has read or heard of a tale about some sacred old city somewhere across the world (Tetenbaum 6). Such moments provoke the desire to make a visit to those places and witness everything. I am not any different; this, too, is my dream.

Inborn Desire

An inborn desire remains inactive until it is provoked. An email from my lovely cousin of her exhilarating trip to Greece that is set to last for one month has indeed awakened the giant dream in me. I have experienced and learned more in my locality; it is time to go out and test the world in some other land. The excitement is beyond measure, it is making me restless and unsettled, but I have to struggle and satisfy my heart. The tale of the memorable old cities, the diverse cultures, snowboarding games, and precious wild nature are some of the email contents that would leave anyone else excited.

Spending two weeks’ vacation near the ocean has been a hidden desire in me since childhood. It is a moment I have never experienced to my satisfaction, possibly because an opportunity was yet to present itself. The warmth near the ocean from the beach plus the thousands of other people who are out to enjoy themselves is an extremely memorable time. Beach games and the serene coastal environment are ideal components of a vacation worth remembrance (Tetenbaum 4).

Waking up to attend to my academic commitments and work has been a norm. Such does not mean it is pleasing in any way. Though vital, it becomes tiresome and boring when done over long periods without having time to relax and enjoy nature (Tetenbaum 6). As a result of this, I have felt the desire to have my vacation in a warm or rather hot area different from our usual environment. Such an event would mean putting on light clothes that allow me to operate in a relaxed mood and be relieved from everyday commitments.

Swimming and Surfing

Having a sunbath seems a rare term, but looks enticing from far. It is what I must undertake during a vacation. The preferable place to experience this would be Cayo Largo beach in Cuba, Grande Plage in France, or the prominent Lovers beach in Mexico. A sunbath would not only satisfy my leisure desires but has its countless health benefits that anyone else would wish to have. The long day would then end by taking my favorite drinks in a nearby club and interact with new friends in a foreign land.

Swimming and surfing are my other two thrilling events. I have had more swimming in the local swimming pools, which has turned out unpleasant with time. I have never done surfing before, but I have watched the same and read about how memorable it is from my cousins’ email. The love for water games in lakes and rivers is exciting, but cannot match the incredible waves in the ocean or the sea. Surfing would mean riding along with the tide towards the shore while using a surfboard or possibly standing on the board. My cousin is an expert at the same based on her lively description of how it is done. Though this was accompanied by a caution of how dangerous surfing can be at times.

Similarly, a sand beach is one unique place one would want to visit during a vacation (Guegan 9). I adored and loved playing with sand with friends from childhood. It would include competitions on who would build the best castles as well as locate the shells. It has been my greatest desire to be doing the same for the rest of my life anytime I am on vacation. Witnessing the various skills possessed by sand sculptors invoked my love for sand beaches. Sand beaches are far much better than the other beaches (Crew 10).

Leisure Moments

A vacation will be meaningful enough when experienced together with other people. I must be accompanied by my friends and family members, though not a vast number, while out for leisure. It does not, however, mean I will restrict my interactions to those alone. It will be a moment to connect and converse with people from diverse backgrounds over many issues. Every person originates from a place with its unique cultural beliefs and convictions; a vacation would offer the opportunity to learn the various cultural aspects from them and appreciate the need for a diverse society (Crew 5). Spending a whole vacation alone denies one the opportunity to share the adventures with other people. A nice thing is worth being felt with others.

Apart from the leisure moments, the vacation must include visiting the most renowned sacred places in the world, preferably two or three. They have Mecca in Saudi Arabia, Jerusalem in Israel, and Wat Rong Khun in Thailand. The three represent varied forms of religious belief, but all stress the need for human beings to believe in the creator and be spiritually upright (Crew 7). My cousin’s description of the various religious affiliations in Greece has motivated my spiritual convictions.

Conclusion

Lastly, my vacation would be ideal when those moments are shared with those I know are yet to experience. I must provoke their desires, just like it has happened to me through my cousin. My dream vacation is my heart's desire that must be fulfilled.
