Introduction
Marketing is the act of promoting a product to sell it to the public to increase the market base. Marketing is an essential factor for the growth of a business, creating a vast support base (Andersson 43). Many companies thrive because of a working marketing strategy, be it, in business, politics and or fans for sports. Besides, marketing enables an organization to create a long-lasting connection with their customers. Therefore every organization needs to get it right. Otherwise, a lot of funds can be spent on marketing but still fail to achieve the everlasting connection with the targeted group. Hence, doing it over and over again, resulting in the wastage of resources and the end, leaving the organization with little resources to spend on other equally essential sections of the organization (Andersson 54).
Like in America, for example, several football teams participate in the America National Football league NSL. Therefore, this means that every football team must develop a strategy first to put their members on toes and also capture the imaginations of fans to enable the team get the much-needed wins from every game and eventually every season (Mendenhall 130). As many groups focus on trending issues to market to their fans, one team though comes out to be unique in the way it markets to their employees and their admirers at large. Do you know this team? It is the New England Patriots team. One thing stands out on how this team does its marketing. New England Patriots do focus majorly on substantiation to enable the team to win and taking one game at a time. The famous saying from their coach Bill Belichick 'Do Your Job' may have seemed just like any other saying at first but is not so. The evidence is everywhere, from social media billboards to caps, and the message moves on from one generation to another.
Remarkably, the management of the New England Patriots has to make game plans before the team plays every game. Doing the procedure, again and again, doesn't seem natural, but thanks to the dedicated technical bench that makes sure that the plan is realized (Boyle 14). With the plain in place, the players have a duty not to play but to do their very best for every opportunity that they get to play. Other football teams taking part in the league do find it difficult to master how the team play since there is always something new. The well-calculated surprises make it difficult to predict this team's next more. The slogan is a wake-up call, and the players can't disappoint as rings in their minds. Doing all these, however, calls for total commitment and willingness to deliver. Subsequently, after the technical bench has done its job and the players ready to take it away, what comes into mind are the fans (Boyle 14). The fans form an essential part of football as they give an impetus to the team.
Moreover, the thrilling game displayed by the New England Patriots always leaves an everlasting memory on the fans who will want to see more. Every time there is a game coming up with the New England Patriots being one of the teams, there is always uncontrollable excitement that comes with it. Every supporter cannot help but look at their watches almost every second in anticipation of watching the memorable match. The fans cannot help but attend the game. Those who are not able to participate in physically remain glued to their television to watch the exciting match.
It is worth noting that, this strategy has worked for the New England Patriots for a long time and hoping to continue ridding on this game plan to consistently capture the huge following by displaying the remarkable artistic show of the match every time the team plays. Using this team as an example, it is worth noting that a good marketing strategy can propel an organization or a company to greater heights (Mendenhall 136). Hence, every organization needs to have that one thing that will always ring on the minds of the customers to be able to realize tremendous success. When an organization deploys this strategy, a lot can be by the company. These extra resources can be redirected to other activities within the organization, thus accelerating growth and also improving the performance of the employees.
Due to the splendid performance, the New England Patriots team has attracted several sponsorships from companies like Fanatics, Gulf Oil, Invisalign, Flor de Cana, Enel, and Ticketmaster. These are multi-billion companies, and the excellent marketing strategy that has led to large fan-base could be one of the significant contributing facts why this team attracts such companies. By offering the sponsorship, these companies also get to market their brands, thus enhancing mutual benefits. The funds received from the sponsors when putting in good use go a long way in stabilizing this team's financial muscles. In the long run, the employees get well paid, and the amenities are improved, leading to better productivity. New England Patriots have strategized, and it has worked for them. In conclusion, a marketing strategy is an excellent tool; therefore, the developers should have an in-depth insight into the business to get it right from the word go. The background information can be obtained by first investing in the research through elaborate researches, money and time to achieve the desired result (Andersson 72).
