Law enforcement professionals are trained to utilize their authority to promote law and order; this is never determined by whether they are on duty or off duty. There are three groups of law enforcement professionals: uniformed officers, investigators, and support positions. These professionals can work at local, state, and federal levels of government. Police officers and detectives hold the highest number of job positions. Every agency owes unique responsibilities and job qualifications different from other agencies, but at a similar job level. The basic duties of uniformed officers are to patrol localities and transport systems and act as an immediate response to emergency calls of help. Other duties include controlling the traffic in case of an accident or congestion. Investigators are forensic technology expertise and search evidence in crimes to reveal criminals and back up criminal prosecution. They work at local, state, and federal positions. Support positions include crime lab technicians, fingerprint technicians, investigative assistants, crime scene analysts, firearms examiners, and others. These forensic scientists work at the federal level, state level, and in large cities.

Of interest, forensic science trainees receive salaries while learning this profession. The trainees are equipped with instructions on the usage of the most advanced science, technology, and procedures for investigating a crime. In Illinois, when there are no significant issues, trainees are promoted to forensic scientists in a year. Federal agencies are specialized, only a few who act as immediate responders. In federal jobs, there are multiple opportunities for a voyage.

Uninterestingly, police officers, deputies, and state troopers have a more comprehensive burden than federal agencies. Acquiring a job in law enforcement agencies is hard. Federal agencies have a limited amount of career opportunities compared to local agencies. Elements of personal dangers accompany police's responsibilities. Police work needs frequent physical exercise under extreme circumstances like hunting and bodily fight against the criminals. Federal jobs are highly competitive though the opportunities to acquire a position are limited.

To qualify as an FBI, one should be below the age of thirty-seven years; this means that individuals above this age have no opportunities to become special agents. Individuals vying for FBI special agents should have three-year experience of an executive job; this means that those who cannot secure such jobs earlier lose their opportunities to become FBI special agents. To qualify as police, one must be physically apt; this gives an insight that the police will have to protect himself and colleagues during an extreme crisis they occasionally face.

Being a police officer is a calling since the individuals are the immediate responders to the citizens' emergency outbreaks. Some of these events may be life-threatening, and therefore the police officer has to sacrifice for it to instill law. At times, they face multiple duties and have to ensure that they are in control of them all. For example, traffic police officers have to patrol all the transit systems, pedestrians, resist offenders from escaping and use fatal threats against the offenders.

In my current career, the salary is $50960 compared to a forensic scientist's salary, which is $96804. This shows that a forensic science career is more rewarding. Most of the duties I face are stressful since there's a need to interact with citizens' emergency needs, which sometimes seems dangerous, but as a forensic scientist, the main work is to investigate which is less risky.
