Knee problem has caused several concerns in most hospitals and ways of treating it. Though several techniques have been involved to cure the problem, most individuals still view these techniques as not effective as some still undergo pain after the treatment. Some the changes that might be of good improvement during the knee replacement includes the use of new implant technology. Due to the fact that all people are unique, all knees are also unique in terms of size and shape. It with this argumentation that during knee replacement, specialists have to consider the size and shape of metal and plastic to be used. Therefore, some of the changes that have to be made is the introduction of several metals and plastics of different sizes and shapes that fits different clients (Sexton-Riley., 2018). This can be of great improvement to clients as it will help in pain reduction since in some cases the pain is normally caused by the size or shape of the plastic or metal used.

In addition, some of the other changes that have to be made is the use of continuous passive motion which is done after the surgery treatment methodology that utilizes an appliance to interchange the knee incessantly by means of a precise range of movement. Furthermore, the objective of continuous passive motion is to prevent joint difficulty as well as improve salvage. There is no proof that continuous passive motion treatment results to a clinically substantial development in range of movement, aching or discomfort, role of the knee, or excellence of lifespan (Harvey et al., 2014). Additionally, continuous passive motion is economical, suitable, and helps clients in therapeutic acquiescence. However, it needs to be used in combination with traditional physical treatment to provide enhanced care. In rare situations where the individual has a difficulty which inhibits standard enlistment treatment, then continuous passive motion might be beneficial.

Additionally, cryotherapy, also referred as a cold treatment, is at times commended after surgical procedures for aching relief as well as to bound engorgement of the knee. Cryotherapy includes the use or application of cold liquid to the surface of the knee joint. Though, proof that this treatment diminishes discomfort as well as engorgement is very feeble as well as the advantages after entire knee treatment operation have been revealed to stay minimal (Naylor et al., 2012). Therefore, the use of traditional physical treatment can be incorporated to enhance treatment as well application of deep heat to sportsman.

Conclusion

In conclusion, these changes can be of great importance and improvement during the process of knee replacement or treatment. It is with these argumentations that specialists have to consider some of the changes highlighted in this paper to provide proper and better treatment to the patients with knee problems.
