I knew the interview techniques that would be used by the interviewer in advance, thereof; I prepared myself for different scenarios.
The interviewer asked me to tell him about the one time that I had to finish a task under as very tight schedules. My answers were that I typically plan my work in stages and complete the work small states and complete each one in succession. I also explained to me that I am a sucker for string work results and can work well under tight deadline and minimal supervision. I explained how I covered up a duty for en employees who did not report for his shift. Throughout this model, I have learned one important lesson that I have the strength that can be built on to improve my employability and weaknesses that I can work on to be more presentable and employable. I would like to develop my strengths to gain a competitive advantage over my competitors in the job market which means that I am still a work in progress(Pitan, 2016). While caring and giving would be useful to me in interpersonal relationship and teamwork, I believe that the independent will not affect my relationship with other staff members as I also believe in teamwork despite the drive to be independent. I have also learned that I am versatile, highly adaptable and have a high aptitude for problems solving. I often set expectation high for me that I focus on and would ensure that I achieve the goals. I am an achiever who also believes in teamwork and responsibility. Above all, I have also learned that I have a unique drive for excellence that can be properly channelled to drive organizational effectiveness.
The skills I need to develop include negotiation skills, budgeting skills as well as multitasking skills. These skills are very important in the event and entertainment management sectors in addition to the ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines, sales and marking as well as problems solving skills. I would either pursue courses to develop those skills or work with a coach or a mentor to help me develop their skills and perfect the other skills in which I am already good.
