For example, people invented plastics, cars, and biotechnology that revolutionized the world. This led to the formation of the ecological movement whose aim was to conserve and protect the environment. Firstly, environmental movements started to rectify past ecological wounds to safeguard next generation's future. People, especially after the colonialism era, much-appreciated species and environmental surroundings and the loss of various biomes. The damage was caused by the severe aftermaths of environmental negligence: despoliation, defoliation, and elimination prompted by human overpopulation and climate change. This practice deviated our cognition from anthropocentrism to biocentrism: humans are intrinsically passive, and our existence is interrelated with nature. People fathomed that anything they do to the environment comes back to haunt them. Every amount of waste that people dispose out to nature is bound to affect them in the future. For instance, the phosphate resource in Nauru Island was over mined to exhaustion which made the land to become uncultivatable, and the natives became jobless. Secondly, the new perception brought about by the environmental movement resulted in the shift in the production systems and pioneering new technologies. Nestle's Japan branch recently shared a new packaging design for its miniature KitKat chocolate bars, which features a paper wrapper with instructions prompting the eater to fold the used paper into a tiny origami crane after enjoying the chocolate. The green movement incites manufacturers to change for the good and become more innovative to meet customers' inclination. As trading and marketing improve, the competitive essence of commerce motivates businesses to care for and consolidate customers' concern about ecosystem. This mutual effect turns the market into a benign influencer of environmentalism. The fears about ecology can thus stimulate scientific and technological fields and foster innovations.

Lastly, the environmental movement was a real paradigm shift which effectively connected people around the world to combat the problem of pollution. Further, a sense of civic engagement makes us more actively united through many environmental projects that have been set up and activist demonstrations for better policies by the government. The movement instills in us pragmatic hopes and a sense of responsibility. Young people are primarily concerned with environmental issues because they will be affected the most by the destruction of the environment. They also have a desire to have a good future full of opportunities and prospects, but this is only possible when the environments are healthy and clean (Sonneborn, 2008). They have therefore stood up to take the initiative in bettering the ecosystem: Young activist Greta Thunberg, at age 15, inspired the world with her blunt message about pollution. Further, in Vietnam, a 5-graded student wrote a letter for schools to not use balloons as usual on the First day of school ceremony. Living in concordance with nature means man's integration and reconciliation to change the world together.

In conclusion, environmentalism has had a significant impact on the world over the last century, but we still have a long way to go. The movement has laid the corner-stone of the long-term goal of improving and protecting the ecology so that the "deadline" of humans is adjourned. It's everyone's right and responsibility to secure our future by preserving the planet's precious environment. Environmental conservation and protection have been successful due to the formation of an ecological movement which supported environmentalism. Environmentalism is a significant change that occurred in the last 100 years because it helps people understand the value of their surroundings and to conserve for the future generation. This change will go a long way in encouraging people to protect the environment to ensure they live a healthy and fulfilling life.
