Through the study, racism is reinforced by using inferences on customer names and in this case, names that are mostly identified as Asian or black are discriminated upon in which the customer service people were more willing to respond quickly to names that are known to be for the white people. The authors advocate for racial bias training by businesses and ensure competent ethnic employees.

This task force report on racism establishes how racism is spread in different institutions with Austin City in Texas. The task force identifies institutional and systematic racism as any form of discrimination or prejudices against an individual by color. The task force assesses racism in education, health, real estate and housing as well as finance and banking institutions. In education, the task force identifies significant racial bias in the hiring of teachers, leadership and school admission. The population of teachers in educational institutions does is not in alignment with the demographic composition of the schools. In healthcare, the taskforce posits that not all people in Austin can access health care services and the most affected population is the people of color who have low income. The universal recommendation by the task force is the creation of cultural competent institutions and hiring procedures.

In a health-based assessment of racism, Paradies et al. note that there is significant racial discrimination against the indigenous people in Australia. The study posits that racism is the system based in that some communities are labeled as inferior, and resources allocation is racially biased. The authors seek to understand how the society can improve health outcomes for the indigenous people. The authors find that racism has had a significant impact on the health of the indigenous people due to unequal access, racially motivated physical assault and has led to stress which has had a negative impact on indigenous people mental health. The authors at the end of the study propose approaches through which racism against the indigenous people can be overcome which include; increased participation, advocacy, community development and research.

Randall, Vernellia studies the need to create a state-based policy to address the cases of racial discrimination in the United States of America. According to the author, racial discrimination is a significant problem that faces the people of color due to lack of equal access. Health inequity, non-existence of policies safeguarding equal access to health, and institutional based racism in health care in the United States of America call for the enactment of a civil rights law to promote equal access and demographic representation in healthcare. However, the author notes that although there are laws against discrimination in the United States racism in healthcare has been able to persist because the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act has failed its mandate especially due to the differing approaches within states regarding Title VI. Therefore, the author proposes the creation of state-based anti-discrimination policies that will hold the healthcare providers and institutions responsible in case of racial discrimination.
Williams, Ashly. "Modern-Day racism in the workplace: Symbolic diversity or real change?." SCIENCE 1.1 (2015).
Williams assesses the modern day forms of racial discrimination in the workplace by assessing whether there is real change. The author finds out that although there has been significant change due to affirmative action which has reduced hiring disparities modern day racism has persisted in organizations and public institutions. Racism in the form of racial micro-aggressions according to Williams is a significant challenge towards ending racism. According to the author, modern racism is directed towards the racial and ethnic minorities and affirmative action, and cultural sensitization in the society has not been able to end racism.
