How time flies. It was just the other day when mummy was dragging my feet into 1st grade and left me mourning my heart out, and now I am almost making the last step off this road. Belonging to St. Georges might have been the best feeling one could associate with. The friendly environment, very understanding staff, up-to-standard facilities and the extra accessory facilities made me proud to be a Georgian. As a routine, we were expected to attend mass every Wednesday, and the sermons and songs took me to heaven and back. The virtues I acquired made me help absolutely anyone who needed my help.

My first five years in middle school were wavy, literary, and I used to go with the flow. I adapted friends with similar outfits, toys of favorite TV shows. Well, it is safe to say that I gained my soul purpose and my identity. I made so many friends during the final three years, that when I think of parting with them, I fell so torn apart. It is at this time, from six grade, that I realized what I liked, where I would want to be in say ten years to come, and most importantly acquired autonomy, a firm stand to what I believed in. Class was my strong suit, and I treasured the sight of our instructors, the blinding streak of algebra, the mesmerizing poems from ALA classes and I adored the foreign languages our curriculum accommodated.

I took a keen interest in linguistic training and was almost a pro in German, Italian, and Spanish. I loved it when I could speak with a Hitler-tone yet say something as polite as 'guttenmorgen' or 'welkommen.' Logic has it that before you even like a course, you probably must like the teacher. I can attest to this. I loved the teachers of ALA, German, Spanish and Italian and I was brilliant at these courses. Outside of class, I participated in sports game night, carnivals, was a member of the CYO, yearbook club, and great debaters. I was also a brilliant basketballer, top player and sometimes a point guard. If you are familiar with these, you'll know I was killing it. Traveling nauseated me, so I majored in the indoor school activities rather than going on trips and exploring the world. It felt safer if I did it on my mum's laptop.

It may sound like everything was as smooth as it seems, but I messed up pretty hard in seventh grade. Mum and I had a petty argument, all of them were, and I opted to drop out of school. I missed my exams, and the authorities were all over us. I reformed and went back. The last lap towards our finish was making me nervous. We had study groups and prep classes just so to ensure we didn't leave any stone unturned as we approached the CCHS entrance exams. The one valuable thing I learned is, always build your ladder up, step by step. I have been accepted to many high schools, and I am going with the best. To start off on the right foot, I have started my list of do's and don'ts and my goals as I embark on yet another academic journey.
