Despite the freedom, there are 'public goods' which can only be supplied by the government. Governments determine their demand based on social, economic, and political needs. In these goods and services, people are not allowed to pay anything when acquiring. People are given the freedom to use for the benefit of the whole society (Newton et al, 2015, 615). These products do not run out, and are always available when the need arises. In most cases, public goods are accompanied by signs which shows that the government owns them (Schulze et al, 2014, 8). The most common public products included knowledge, national security, and street lights. Governments have rules which regulate how these goods are used.
