Establishment of free-market has been a critical factor to minimize cases of human poverty in most nations. As such, it has tried to raise the living standards of a large number of people, especially those living in slums and rural areas. Despite the freedom, there are 'public goods' which can only be supplied by the government. Governments determine their demand based on social, economic, and political needs. In these goods and services, people are not allowed to pay anything when acquiring. People are given the freedom to use for the benefit of the whole society (Newton et al, 2015, 615).
