Introduction
In the Nickelodeon television show, there are several commercial breaks in between each episode. These commercials have different content where some are adverts, and others are kind off guide and counseling sessions. What I was surprised about this commercial breaks the show gives kids a chance to contribute to some activities such as modeling. Something else that I was surprised about in this breaks is that the kid's equipment's being advertised are mostly boyish. They include the toys and video games in the adverts. This show also announced things that are not helpful to the kids, and that cannot be accessible to them. What I was not surprised about commercials after watching them is they generally give kids ideas of doing new things they have never done before. Additionally, in some of the commercials, the show tries to acknowledge the kid from both genders by advising them accordingly.
Generally, this show has different episodes which are acted and presented by both genders. In this shows there are roles of each as per the context. Some shows are offered by only girls who work like superheroes in their world. This show tries to tell the children that girls can also be heroes in whatever they do if they got unity between themselves. On the other hand, other shows presented by both genders who work together and can accomplish something at the end (Habib and Soliman, 2015). This show tries to educate the children that it is not wrong for kids in both sexes to work hand in hand.
Moreover, these films are exaggerated in such a way that only through the cooperation of both boys and girls there is a victory. In some of the commercial, I came through there was an advertisement for different types of toys for both genders. The boy's toys were robots and cars while the girls were dolls; this shows that each one has what he or she is to use when playing.
The show has a variety of episodes which have different lessons and content that kids can use as a learning tool which can help them in their day to day life. These episodes are also funny and creative whereby they help the kids to enjoy the moment and assist them in being in a position to come up with new ideas. In the commercials, the different advertisements give children a chance of knowing what new toys and video games are in the market. They are also able to see how some of these toys are used from the advertisements in such a way when they purchase them it would not be hard for them to use. This means that the shows and commercials are helpful to young boys and girls as they educate them differently.
Human gender uniqueness is constructed through the media, experiences from parents or interactions and society. The media plays a significant role in the creation of social norms due to various forms of media that include films, advertisements, and television. Gender roles, for example, exist exclusively since society as a whole picks to admit them. Press as part of entertainment influences the society's way of thinking, for every message an individual hears or sees have an impact; however small it might be (Fiske and Hancock, 2016). The media influences individuals in different life aspects such as lifestyle, physical appearance, behavior, and fashion. For example, if the boys watch cartoons or any film that involves the male elements their characters usually incline them. However, their attitude might be negatively affected by what they see whereby they might turn up to be aggressive and violent.
