Discipline and commitment is the key to abiding with the routines. Routine is a regular course of habitual, mechanical and procedure of an established task. It involves mechanically performed tasks and is unchanging and customary. Following a routine requires one to adopt a culture of consistently practicing the activities. Regular practice of the activities stipulated in an individual's routine leads to the development of an appropriate culture. It makes the tasks part of one's culture leading to frequent practice of the activities. Observing if one follows the routine requires frequent monitoring of the tasks outlined in the routine. If one conducts the tasks consistently as outlined in the routine, it is a sign of following the routine. According observation, effective following of the routine only occurs when the tasks do not coincide with the other daily activities. The time stipulated for a task in the routine should be specifically for that activity. Developing a routine, therefore, depends on an individual's daily activities and priority of the activity. Every activity corresponds to specific time duration depending on the significance of the activity and demands of the particular activity. The difference between routine and reality depends on the ability to perform the tasks as highlighted in the routine. Most of the people delay the schedule for the various tasks in the routine. It lowers the duration of the specific task. Others fail to balance the various activities as postulated in the routine. Balancing the task requires one to abide by the time limits of every activity. The difference escalates when one increases the time span of some talks awhile reducing the duration of other tasks. It results in the difference between routine and reality.

Indiscipline also causes problems in following the routine. It leads to lack of commitment when following the various tasks. Building physical activity into routine helps in attaining long and short-term well being and health of the children. It guarantees a healthy living style among the adults and general wellbeing of the children. It also helps in building muscles that helps children in freely moving from one place to the other. It also helps children enjoy physical play. Building physical activity into routine also helps both the adults and children develop effective lung and heart functions and general functioning of the body. It helps the body fight properly and prevent certain diseases.

Factors such as indiscipline and procrastination greatly affect the attainment of reality when practicing the tasks outlined in the routine. According to the observation, physical care occurs for 60 minutes instead of 90 minutes making it difficult to attain reality. Feeding occurs for 60 minutes instead of 120 minutes leading to a loss of 60 minutes. Toileting only occurs for 30 minutes instead of 60 minutes while exercise occurs for 90 minutes instead of 120 minutes. Structured activities occur for 30 minutes instead 60 minutes while free play occurs exactly for 60 minutes. It is only in free play that reality one attains reality.

Average time for Reality = 60+60+30+90+30+606 = 55

The proportion of the day spent on each of these key tasks = 24 hours divided by the 330 minutes for reality
