Social Class and Politics

People with high income often live healthy lives than individuals with little money. The reason for this occurrence is because those people with a high income are able to enjoy balanced diet as compared to people with limited finances. The adults and children who are not wealthy therefore end up having some health-related problems because of what they consume. People may resort to junk food because it is easily available and is not too expensive. On the other extreme end, people with limited earning capacity such as those in developing countries may end up starving. Some of those who do not starve may end up having stunted growth. Lack of public service is also a major factor that contributes to the frequency of diseases in a community. People who live in remote areas with little economic developments are the ones who are most affected by lack of or limited public resources.

Housing Conditions

Housing conditions are directly related to the health of its occupants and the frequency of disease. Poorly constructed houses can have a number of effects from causing respiratory illness to the risk of accidents. Houses that use materials which make the house damp will most likely lead to respiratory infections if inhabited for a long time (Sepinwall, 2002). Additionally, people who have limited resources are the once who are likely to live in such conditions. Over congestions and poor workmanship have also led to many accidents. Individuals who have enough resources ensure their houses are safe and all the safety standards are followed. However, people with limited resources may not have such benefits.

Work Conditions

The environment that an individual works on has the potential of influencing their lives. People who work in a poorly regulated environment have a high risk of accidents. Factory employees who do not have safety gears, for example, are prone to accidents than employees who have access to various safety measures (Sweileh, 2017). People who work in third world countries are developing nations often find themselves in such situations because of the lax government regulations. The employees not only work in risky environments but are also paid little money compared to their counterparts in developed countries. A third of people suffering from back pain have also blamed their working conditions for the problem. People working in manual and low paying jobs are often the once affected by chemical when there is an issue with the poor working condition in a chemical plant. The managers and other well-paid employees are often found in offices with well-ventilated spaces. People in the low end of the job market may also suffer from psychology torture especially when they feel they have little said or control in the workplace.

Exposure to Pollution

Government policies, economy, and social status also determine the level of exposure that one faces. During the industrial revolution, people who were doing manual labor and working in factories lived in the vicinities of companies. The companies used to pollute the environment and the first victims were those people living in these areas. In the 21st century, people who don't earn much still live in congested areas which live them in danger of exposure to pollution. The affluent on the other hand, live in suburbs surrounded by trees and greenery.
