Introduction

Student's organizations are also known as student's government in some university. Student's organizations are unions whose main objective is to champion for the rights and welfare of the students.in such organizations, the leadership and management are entirely upon the students themselves. The students' organizations may or may not be affiliated to the university administration. The organization is composed of students who represent the rest of the students on campus issues to the overall. Student organization impact and play a significant role in the campus life (Lee & Kaplin, 2013), thus students all over especially freshman are encouraged to join this union so that their welfare and rights are guaranteed in their entire period of stay at the university. Student organizations not only contribute to career impartation but also build the experience of students in a great way thus student government contributes hugely in the following ways.

Being in a student organization gives one an opportunity to acquire knowledge in regards to one's self. It enables to evaluate one's goals and the strengths. It gives an opportunity to handle the critical issue as well as testing the knowledge gained. More skills are gained in the process of leadership in the student government. Some traits such as communication and work ethics are developed in the organization which acts as a preparatory for the community leadership in future. The students become more ready to serve the community with acquired traits. Organizations build teamwork and cooperation among the students (Lee & Kaplin, 2013). The students in the organizations learn how to work together in championing their rights and their interests. Moreover, they learn how to work by consulting each other before making any decision in regards to a situation. While team working, the students have opportunities to networking. Through the forums brought, the opportunities provide a chance to meet other new students, therefore initiate connections and create and strengthen the relationship that can be helpful in future. Through the participation in the organization rooted in the area of specification equips one with practical experience in his or her respective field. The best-learned aspect is how to deal with the different types of people thus interact with people from different backgrounds and ideologies. The best thing is that people get a chance give back to the community through the needy kits and which acts as a source of fun and recreation.

Most of the student's organization has rights and freedoms accrued to them in respect to their respective university. Most of this rights and privileges are regulated by the university regulations for the student unions. The restrictions and policies given by the university control are developed by the department committee that is responsible for the affairs related to children, which includes student and departmental representatives and students. The freedom and rights guaranteed to the registered unions outline the roles and duties in creating the way, scope and properties of the organization in upholding all the university's educational programme (Rosch, 2017). Although, the freedom and right in regards to the student's organization are restricted to the stated objective of the organization as well as the universities. The university, as well as the governing institution in place, expects that the student organization should not make an assumption that it rightfully may indulge in any malicious activities, especially those that are not restricted by the policies. Some of the rights of the students' organizations are as defined below.

The student organizations have the right to use and access the university equipment, facilities alongside the university services in accordance with the outlined procedures and policies. As a result, the body can organize and hold student activities such as the elementary seminars, motivation conferences, and training services within the university. They can also extensively go ahead and sponsor such program activities that are aimed at the welfare of the whole students' body. Therefore, the organization can access freely some university services such as the copying and printing services for free or at a subsidized cost, courtesy of the university. They have the right to ask and solicit for funds from the finance office in the university. They can also ask for help from the public relations office as well as the media groups controlled by students to encourage organization activities. Extensively, they are entitled to be listed in the university publications. Therefore, the student organization can supply, distribute and make publications such as magazines, although they should be in line with the campus requirement and established policies (Rosch, 2017). They have the freedom to invite special guest and speakers in the university and affiliate campuses but have to adhere to the set guidelines established. The students' government has the right and privilege to create an account and make use of the university business office services to control and regulate their funds. They are fully accountable for their expenditures though restricted to their use to avoid mismanagement of funds.

Conclusion

The students' organizations are an institution by itself in the university. The body provides the best opportunities for student representation in the university's senate and leadership council. Their demands and recommendation are channeled to the university's leadership through the students' organizations.
