Introduction
Online pornography has been on the rise in recent years, owing to technology, especially to children in their teenage years. In the construct of social psychology, human beings tend to attain behavior from the environment especially through what they learn. Therefore, those who have watched pornography tend to attain the behavior portrayed in pornography movies and practice it in their sexual experience (Jones, 2018). From the assessment, those teens who have watched higher rates of pornography tend not to engage in sex, but the result is only a correlation. However, watching or reading pornographic sources opens teenagers on different sexual positions and how females are supposed to be dominated by their males' counterparts (Jones, 2018). The assessment by Maggie Jones emphasizes on the importance of sexual education through pornographic evaluation of teens. I agree with the essay because teenagers who have experienced pornographic films will become curious since it is their first time; hence, most will engage in early sex to kill curiosity.
The number of teens who are getting spoiled by the online pornographic film is quite alarming. The survey undertaken by Debby Herbenick and her colleague shows the alarming rates of washing pornography with nearly 35 percent having an encounter. Surprising, Jones identifies a naivety gap between parents and children which hastens the use of pornographic films among youths (Jones, 2018). The source of information about sex is dependent on pornography rather than parents, education or friends. In this, since there are a thousand online pornographic sites, the teens will cause traffic because those sites do not limit viewing by age. My reaction to the essay is that online pornography is wreaking havoc in teens and this case, there will be more victims of rape, diseases, and pregnancies. Most parents tend to ignore the sensitivity on pornography by playing ignorance whether their children to watch them.
However, the porn literacy campaign by Emily Rothman provides a positive perspective of channeling the youths towards natural sexual experience. Specifically, the practical experiences the young teenagers pass through in the classes, including the poring of goopy substance over the face, intrigues the simulation associated with pornographic acts (Jones, 2018). Although little evidence is available to connect washing phonograph films with dating violence, L.G.B.T issues, and sexual violence, the sexual interactions in the films influence un-natural expectations during sexual interactions. Jones notes that teenagers are intrigued by the sexual experience they witness in the film and often wishes for the same experiences in their dating experiences (Jones, 2018). Moreover, portraying male dominance in sexual experience has influenced the widening of equality between a male and female role in dating relationships.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the assessment on pornographic film towards teenagers by Maggie Jones shows the perverseness sexual experience has faced. Moreover, the importance of pornography literacy continues to be crucial in allowing teenagers to see sexual experience as natural instead of a simulation. Also, both partners in a dating relationship have an equal right to making the experience worthwhile without showing any dominance. Moreover, the victims of online pornography perceive their opposite gender counterparts awkwardly. Girls will think of the masculine of the boys like the penis size. Males will judge that all girls want sex and will be brave enough to approach and do funny sexual acts. Social media platforms like Snap chat and Facebook are the biggest influencers. There should be a limitation on these sites. Sex education is the best way to enlighten teens on the dangers of engaging in early sex life and negativities of online pornography. Parents should play a role too.
