Introduction
Reasoning refers to the process of a logical idea or thought that an individual has in mind. A good example is that in case something happens one must know how to stop or conquer it. An argument, on the other hand, is a specific approach to something. An argument also means disagreement but is not entirely used in the form of dispute. They differ in that an individual must thjerfirst reason to know the sort of argument to engage. Therefore in this context, our primary focus will be on the why Trump wants to bring to an end Obama care.
Affordable care act came up when a judge from Texas approved it. This act was part of the law that required people in America to buy health insurances making medical bills when one was ill low and easy acquire health services. However, with the coming of Trump as the president, his department of justice is pushing forward and asking the fifth circuit court of appeal to scrap off the law. Therefore, this means that the majority of Americans who depend on the ACA for health insurance will end up having to struggle in case of a medical problem that requires a lot of finances. Most of the people involved in the program are the American citizens earning low incomes meaning in case of a health problem it will be hard for them to acquire the services due to lack of finances. Apart from that, individuals who still rely on the protection from the ACA including employer-based insurance on matters like free contraception and many other preventive care services will have to pay for this on their own as with ACA being scraped of they will be non-existing.
Therefore one of the main reason as to why he wants to get rid of Obamacare is due to the competition among the healthcare insurers. This move is said to result to the younger ones running out of insurance in the market which will lead to increase in the costs across the board (Analysis by Chris Cillizza, CNN Editor-at-large, 2017). Apart from that the subsidies being paid to the insurance companies to cover the low-income Americans is also to be stopped. His primary motivation comes from ACA's nickname Obamacare. That it is named after Obama, who brought it into existence which is why Trump is so much against it, all the trump's political career is built against Obama mainly because the beliefs of Obama on government and society differed from his. Apart from that Obama was Africa American and a multicultural visionary which trump's supporters were so against it.
The only way that politicians distinguished themselves from Republican politics during the time of Obama was by positioning yourself against everything relating to Obama. Everything, in this case, refers to Obama's legitimacy of being the president of America given various claims on where he was born. However, Trump had learned this early enough to the extent that he would say anything about Obama that other politicians would not dare. It goes further whereby every move that Obama did since his election as the president was wrong according to Trump's mind - clearly seen wherein the case he says that Obama did not comprehend what made America one of the greatest nations in the world which trump himself did. Obamacare was something that majority of the conservatives hated, and trump even went ahead o name it as a disaster during his campaigns saying that something better to would replace it. Obamacare was the word to every rally he went during his campaign.
Another reason was this could help him win the GOP and get elected as the president of America. He was against Obama in almost everything. It commenced with Obamacare and went further to stop the Iran nuclear deal, went ahead and pulled out of the Paris climate accord, his support for the Keystone XL pipeline among other policies within his first nine months of the administration. It generally shows that Trump had questions on what Obama opted to do, resulting in him literary doing the opposite. Obamacare was one the greatest legacy of Obama, and by abolishing it, it meant that he would have killed one of the most significant achievements of Obama. However, being against what your predecessor did is not always the best way to come up with a solution for policies. That is unlike in campaigns where running against something often works when it comes to governing the game is entirely different.
Apart from that was due to the main reason as to why he was elected. Americans elected trump to bring change in America and allow the nation to progress as one. Therefore putting aside what Obama had done was part of the promise he had done to his people. Most of the Democrats will be happy with the work of trump which is mainly on the failures of Obamacare. GOP believes that executing the solution that conservatives give him will work better in his second term as there is very little on Obama's actions while in office. There is also the support from the Democrats who flipped 40 house seats which allowed them to have control of the chambers criticizing repeal of ACA by the Republicans. Therefore this has led to the majority of the Republicans giving up on the reopening of Obamacare fight instead they focused on top presidential candidates to spearhead the campaign on the need for Medicare for all in the health care systems.
Obamacare ignores the apparent cost saving alternatives. Due to this patients are unable to buy insurance across the stateliness which its primary focus is to raise competition and lower costs. Apart from that it does not allow health plans associated with small businesses and goes further to limit accounts options on low-cost health savings. Since the Democrats were bought off, Obamacare does not cater for medical malpractices costs. All the money that has been acquired from the Obamacare has increased federal budget, resulted to subsidies on the insurance plans to enable Americans to sign up for it and also led to the penalizing of those who do not buy it. However, there is 1 out of the 11 Americans without the insurance which means the act is not entirely valid. Lack of insurance also another reason as to why Trump is against Obamacare.
From what one acquires above, he or she can conclude that what is there between Obama and Trump is mainly hatred. From the view of things, Obamacare is quite helpful to the majority of the people in America especially the poor as it allows them to have excellent medical care and should not be abolished just because a Republican spearheaded it.
