Malnutrition is the consumption of either inadequate, excessive, or imbalanced quantities of nutrients. Malnutrition is a worldwide issue that is caused by several factors such as lack of a balanced diet, harmful and indigestible diet, unregulated diet, neglect for children, lack of food, elderly living alone, poverty, ignorance, and illiteracy, among many other factors. When children eat foods that lack some crucial nutrients such as proteins, fats, or carbohydrates in their diet, their bodies become malnourished. Lack of a balanced diet may be as a result of illiteracy so that people do not know the right mix of nutrients they need to consume every day. Apart from that, there is a lack of food to eat especially in developing countries (Bain, 2013). This disposes them to dietary problems

Nutrition-related problems facing the United States, Canada, and other countries include diabetes, stress, and anxiety, irregular periods, low libido, high waist to hip ratio, dry skin, depression, irritability, high BMI, among many others. According to Ng et al., (2014), obesity has been a major problem complained of all over the world due to inadequate nutritional balance in the body. Childhood obesity, for example, has been a major issue of interest in the United States, Canada, and other countries in the world.

Methods and techniques of solving nutrition-related problems vary with the severity of problems. Treatment program for problems associated with malnutrition involves a carefully designed diet plan with an appropriate set of nutritional supplements to help patients recover. In the case of over-nutrition problems, patients are asked to cut down foods or supplements found to have caused the condition. Medical treatment of obesity can be decided based on a patient's BMI and total body weight (Ng et al. 2014). Medical guidance given by the doctor may be helpful in combating the condition.

My opinion to this discussion is that it tried well to capture the concept of malnutrition by recognizing that, it is the lack of proper balance of nutrients in the body. The student's explanation various factors that cause malnutrition including poor food distribution system, overpopulation, local strife, political instability, dieting among others. The three stages of growth where malnutrition is most common can be said to be true. This is because among the people who are highly susceptible to malnutrition problems can be seen to be the infants, children, and expectant mothers. However, the student forgot to add the elderly in the community who struggle with food issues, especially those elderly persons who live alone because they do not have children to take care of them. Lastly, the student suggests a wonderful remedy for solving malnutrition, citing the consumption of a healthy and balanced diet with fruits, vegetables, proteins, and vitamins.

The student has tried as much as possible to shed light into the issues concerning nutrition-related problems. It is agreeable that malnutrition occurs to both the rich and those with inadequate income alike. However, poor children suffer most from undernutrition problems because they may not easily access food.

On the other hand, rich people have extra money to spend on buying fast foods which are excessively fatty. The factors identified are also suitable such as overpopulation, crop failure, civil unrests, chronic alcoholism, among many others. as part of the student's remedy to nutrition-related problems, the student suggests an essential engagement with both churches and charity organizations to assist in distributing food aid. This approach is applicable, especially to the hunger-stricken places in the world. By giving them direct food support, patients with nutrition-related problems will be able to recover from the peril after a given time.
