Introduction
The staff values of focus, passion, and inspiration make a good foundation that individual work is based upon. The three values apply to various areas within a work environment, including performance management discussions and recruitment. Focus refers to providing excellent client services, meet their expectations, and meet performance levels. Passion regards taking responsibility for individual actions, assessing the work for improvements, and impacting clients positively. Finally, inspiration revolves around seeking better ways to deliver improvements, embracing change, working as a team, and effective planning. The staff members can individually apply each of these for as long as they exhibit positive behavior.
In my work experiences as a Team Leader of Kilwinning Campus at KA Leisure, my team has been the heart to the organization. The best investment I have made to my team so far is time. I have provided ample time for everyone, suggesting ideas that utilize their time at sports. I have worked with other teams to ensure that we get a unique but smooth experience. My passion for sports has led me to work closely with work with Sports Development Officers as well as Active Schools Co-coordinators & local clubs. With a team-centric culture, my capacity to let the members be at the spotlight has led me to realize meaning in my work, and it was the reason I stayed in my position even longer. I would not brag about being a good person selected, but the culture has been modest in such a way that any member could thrive and invest in their roles for as long as they maintained focus.
I have always been passionate about my job and wanted to realize my full potential in that position. I have always wanted to contribute even more to enhancing the organization's reputation. The fact that I have to be accountable for my actions has led me to be passionate about my work and input effort for all I can. Therefore, I take pride in knowing that my actions are significant to the local community. With my team members, I have always yearned to build a good heritage and maintain a clear record for infinite success. My current work is challenging, and I take that as a motivation to being more ambitious. I have always understood that ambition and hard work are two important tools required for success. I have been proud to see the team reach out to its objectives, and how welcoming it has been to the ideas of team development.
The value of inspiration comes in when I yearned to find better ways to deliver services on behalf of the team. The best results were mostly achieved through teamwork. I realized that a strong foundation could uniquely maintain a good culture and that led me to regularly work with Sports Development Officers as well as Active Schools Co-coordinators & local clubs to ensure we are supporting the local community in terms of sport and fitness regardless of the modes of participation and volunteering.
Conclusion
As a new team leader, I was initially confused about what to consider while providing quality services to the local community. My role was to ensure that I delivered optimum quality service to the communities. Coincidentally, the values were already obliquely stated in my role definition, making me realize my full potential without much supervision. My time as a Team Leader of Kilwinning Campus at KA Leisure has been useful and through the values with intense specificity on inspiration, the team has just made the first steps towards excellence.
