There are various reasons, and advantages for infant curriculum and these are; building a responsive relationship between the toddler and the one teaching them, the curriculum helps to plan and manage a program that will develop the child appropriately, the curriculum promotes the child's learning as they grow and also in stabilizing a professional standard in the teaching of early childhood education. The curriculum has various features such as; the children themselves build it. It is also advisable that the curriculum is formatted according to the interests of the children, their development abilities, their needs and also aligning with each child's unique personality. The curriculum is passed through the teachers and should also be inclusive of the family's culture, language, and their interests. This curriculum should include a long time plan and a short time plan for the child, and it is based on documented observations. A toddler's curriculum is considered to be flexible allowing individualization and should be based on a continuous reflection of the child's abilities. This literature will focus on building a curriculum for toddlers.

There are various ways in which the toddlers learn and mostly it is from the environment they are located in which affects most of their learning abilities. They learn through hands-on opportunities that are the material things they can interact with, they also learn through their senses. At this point, the toddlers are curious and tend to explore their imaginations more. The young toddlers also learn things through discovering them on their own, or they can imitate what they see others doing, and they do it themselves, or as they explore their environment they tend to learn few things they did not previously know about, and this exploration should be uninterrupted. In some cases, the toddlers tend to learn things in a well-set learning environment that helps in boosting their development capabilities.

In the life of a toddler every day is an opportunity to learn a few things, and they have their own goals as they go about their day and that is; regulating their state which leads to self-assurance or self-control in most cases, they tend to develop their trust with the person caring for them so that they can have the freedom to explore the environment, the toddlers grow a sense of self and they tend to learn their body functions and they also grow to understand the rules governing the social circle as well as developing a sense of empathy.

Learning for toddlers may occur during different occasions such as during feeding when the caregiver is leaving, or they are greeting for the first time when changing the diapers or during their sleeping time. According to a statement released by the Program for Infant Toddler Care, it states that the toddlers should be involved in the process of giving care and it should be acted with and not acted upon them.

Materials needed There are three different types of observation which one should consider when watching over a toddler and these are observing while the toddler is in action, observing when the toddler is out of action and observing the toddler after the act. There are various tips one should follow while watching a toddler and these are; one ought to see the toddler on a regular basis, if the parent is away or busy they should look for a babysitter who will watch the children professionally and be ready to adjust the focus, one ought to take advantages of the routine and take notes. The caregiver has a responsibility to keep the family updated about the toddler so that if there is an issue, it can be solved immediately.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the toddler should be involved in activities that promote their learning abilities as well as fun activities. It is an advantage if the caregiver can get the toddles toys which enhance their cognitive thinking and study how the child progresses as they grow older to know the various gifts which the child has.
