Introduction
As a DNP prepared nurse practitioner, my significant concern strikes at the heart of the quality of healthcare services in which an improvement of patient outcomes, as well as the medical services, takes center stage. As such, my priority and number one goal is to ensure the utilization of organizational systems alongside effective leadership to achieve and improve in healthcare and patient outcome. The net effect of deploying these principles in healthcare leads to the application of doctoral skills and knowledge pertinent to the nursing profession eliminates disparities that hinder efficient medical care and further promote excellence as well as patient safety (AACN, 2006). In this perspective, I target observing the organizational policy in service delivery.
Organizational Policy
The primary goal in this part aims at understanding the principles of management practices, and this entails practical and conceptual strategies relevant to balancing the productivity of medical personnel within the frameworks of quality requirements (AACN, 2006). Thus, regardless of whether I will be working alone or with other medical practitioners, it is my goal to observe and adhere to the organizational policies while pursuing the delivery of high-quality medical services. For instance, if my organization adopts a technological policy demanding the use of technology such as electronic documentation of medical records, I intend to learn and adapt to such systems. To this end, I mean that the Admissions Committee should know my competency and flexibility regarding organization policies.
Patient Safety and Improved Health Outcomes
In pursuit of patient safety alongside improved health outcomes, individual competency is vital. However, other crucial factors come into play. For instance, the leadership of the organization as well as the systems installed for service delivery are also significant factors that come to play (AACN, 2006). I will prepare for this by anticipating sophisticated frameworks as well as provisions for work. For instance, bracing myself with analytical skills will enable me to identify and acquaint myself with the systems of the organization. In the process, it is my goal to address any issues and shortcomings arising from the prevailing situation. In this part, it is my goal to elucidate sustainable changes and supplement this by improving strategies (AACN, 2006). In this part, I am communicating with the Admissions Committee my well-thought-out plans for improving the operations of the organization.
Conclusion
As a DNP, I mean to deliver medical services while observing high levels of efficiency and proficiency. In the process of pursuing this, there are issues to iron and adopt. For instance, improving the quality of medical services becomes my top priority, and thus, the leadership of the organization as well as it's systems become the bone of contention which I communicate to the Admissions Committee. The burning issues to communicate to this committee span around patient safety, an improvement of medical services discharged to patients and lastly, my preparation for the sophisticated work as well as responsibilities in medical facilities. However, these issues will be under systems management in which I will seek a comprehension.
