Introduction

Banner Healthcare is an organization that is based in Arizona and usually operate in twenty-eight hospitals and other specialized healthcare facilities across six states in the United States. The health care organization operates as a non-profit body through offering various services such as emergency services, home care, rehabilitation services, hospital care, outpatient surgery, and pharmaceutical services. The organization tends to be the largest employer in Arizona and also among the largest employing company in the entire united states with approximately 50000 employees (Stoddart & Evans, 2017). It was established in the year 1999 through the merger or partnership of Samaritan health system located in Arizona and Lutheran health system located in North Dakota (Stoddart & Evans, 2017). However, following the emergence of other competitive health care organizations with time in the United States, Banner Healthcare had to make certain improvements in its operations. This led to the introduction of an improved, and unique healthcare service delivery plan that played a major part in ensuring quality services delivery and maintain the organization's competitive advantage in the future. Some of the plans implemented by Banner Healthcare to ensure that the organization remained relevant in the future to include nurse staffing, network growth, resource management, and patient satisfaction. This study intends to assess Banner Healthcare readiness to address the various healthcare needs in the future by looking at various factors that include, network growth, nurse staffing, resource management, and patient satisfaction.

Network Growth

Due to the extensive growth of the Banner health network, the healthcare organization has been able to have a large number of medical personnel and other supporting organizations at their disposal, and still the number of organizations and staffs continue to expand. Banner Healthcare plans to ensure the growth of its network through maintaining continuous. The collaboration of new health care models, physicians, and health insurance plans. The provision of this health services and the constant collaboration with the patients is what acts as the base for the ever-growing network an also provide a stable ground for its future healthcare readiness. To achieve effective network growth, there should also be physical growth in the organization. Theretofore, for Banner Healthcare to achieve effective network growth, the organization has allocated a certain amount of capital to be used for the physical expansion of is network (Elshaug et al., 2017). These funds are directed towards the construction of new hospitals, offices and other facilities needed for the network expansion. Through continues physical expansion or growth, the organization hopes that in the future the health care organization will have spread its network even further thus ensuring its readiness in providing the customer's interests or needs.

Nurse Staffing

The health care industry has always experienced the problem of nurse shortage in the united states. However, to overcome this challenge, Banner Healthcare was approved by Arizona board of regents to collaborate with the University of Arizona for a takeover that will help to oversee the transition of the university students to Banner Healthcare staff (Cho et al., 2016). This was achieved by ensuring that medical students in the university work as interns in banner health care organization and are eventually permanently hired in the organization. This provides more staffing opportunities to the existing working population thus increasing the nurse stuff population in the hospitals. Hiring more nurses helps to reduce the existing workload since the nurses can meet the needs of the increasing number of patients. Banner Healthcare has also introduced a strategy that ensures that the hired nurses and physicians are distributed to all the health care facilities and in all determents. This ensures that the health system is ready to address the health care needs in the future.

Human Resource Management

A successful organization usually ensure extreme caution in their resource management since they play a major role in ensuring the organization growth. To achieve effective resource management, Banner Healthcare has hired expert staffs whose mandate is to ensure quality improvement in the organization through monitoring the quality of work done by the workers and ensuring the services provided are up to standard. The hired expert also help to market the organization's services for example through conducting advertisement through various media channels with the intention of attracting more customers and also to beat the fellow competitors. Banner Healthcare system has also incorporated social responsibility in their daily operations, to ensure the organization can meet the needs of the entire population.

Patient's Satisfaction

The primary aim of Banner Healthcare system is to offer quality healthcare to their patients and the members of the society. To achieve this aim, the healthcare system uses the current technologies such as x-ray machines to ensure that the needs of the patients are catered for properly and the patients are comfortable or satisfied with the services (Elshaug et al., 2017). The healthcare organization also hires qualified nurses who can understand and solve the problems experienced by patients to ensure that the patients are satisfied with the services they get. This strategy makes Banner Healthcare system to be rated among the top organization in fulfilling the customer's needs and also proves that the organization is ready to fulfill the patients' needs in the future.

Comparison Between the Banner Healthcare System and Singapore Airline

Both Banner Healthcare and Singapore Airline have developed strategies or a plan that are aimed at ensuring their future preparedness to offer quality services and maintain their market competitiveness. Some of this strategy that both organizations have in common include, continuously hiring the young and qualified employees to ensure that there are enough employees to handle the workload present and also ensure the provision of quality services. Secondly, both organizations are aimed at ensuring customers satisfaction by ensuring the provision of quality services. These organizations have been able to achieve this by hiring qualified and experienced workers who have clear knowledge and understanding of the kind of services the patient needs. They have also adopted the use of new technologies to increase customer satisfaction. For example, the airline has adopted the slot machines while Banner Healthcare has adopted x-ray machines. This has helped both companies to maintain their global competitiveness and also attract more customers. Thirdly, both organization ensure effective resource management through hiring staffs whose mandate is to ensure quality improvement in the organization through monitoring the quality of work done by the workers and ensuring the services provided are up to standard

However, some of the practices such as patient satisfaction and nurse staffing may be influenced by certain cultural issues such as the language barrier. To ensure effective customer satisfaction the challenge of language barrier should be eliminated by ensuring that the staff delivering the services can communicate with the customer or patient. The problem of language barrier may be overcome through hiring staffs from diverse background or ethnicity to ensure that the organization can offer quality and satisfying services to every member of the society despite the ethnicity.
