Introduction
Nurses are employed to work in complex environments that require maximum concentration in their urge to achieve particular objectives in healthcare. They are required to adapt their management styles and structures as well as proper leadership systems in their various healthcare fields for them to deliver to their patients. In doing so, good organizational and leadership structures are put in place to encourage these nurses to participate in local or state workshops that help them advance healthcare practices and standards (Goodwin, 2016). Good facilities and a proper organizational structure in a healthcare facility provide the nurses with the best environment to ensure appropriate quality care in the various places of work. These nurses feel empowered in the urge to serve humanity.
Flat Organizational Structure
One of the recommended types of clinical, organizational structure is the flat organizational structure, which allows nurses in any healthcare facility to engage with one another in trying to solve problems that affect their patients. These types of organizations are characterized as flat in which unit-based decision-making prevails. The nursing services are autonomous, with good nursing participation visible in the organization of the organizing committee (Vaughn, 2019). Characteristics of Flat Organizational Structure
Flatter institutions are generally shown with one bar at the top of the institution. The top of the organization is the president or managing director of the healthcare facility. A flat organizational structure may comprise the third and fourth levels of workers and hourly nurses, respectively, although seldom more (Sindhwani, 2019). The flatter organizations tend to nurture more significant communique between employees than taller ones where nurses feel excluded in the daily decision-decision making process.

Conclusively, a healthcare facility with a flatter organizational structure also has less inefficiency due to fewer graduates or third parties involved in its day to day activities. Healthcare management can thus make faster decisions with a flatter organizational structure. Nurses' morale is always higher in these kinds of organizations, which makes them more top achievers hence improving the quality of care being provided, especially those who are high achievers. Any member of these organizations can make important decisions that will help improve the services being provided. Also, decision-making processes are not complicated since nurses can easily interact without necessarily following a governing managerial order.
