I have three main employment opportunities in my career. One of them is as Staff Nurse III at California Pacific Medical Center, which is my current employment since January 2007. As a Staff Nurse III, I have various responsibilities. I am responsible for caring for patients in critical care by providing bedside assistance. It has hugely impacted my career, as I am constantly in contact with different patients with different conditions. It builds my skills as I aim to be an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. I have loads of experience, and I can speak to any patient, provided that they are under my care. With this, I can dig deeper into their condition and unearth more on their medical history. I can do perform diagnostic tests and prescribe treatments on different conditions. I believe in my efficiency to give and maintain proper records on each patient. With my experience, I understand the importance of an on-call program on the lives of patients. Therefore, I am willing to participate in the program if it is available. I interact freely with the patient's family or guardians in talking about the prevailing condition and the necessary actions to take.
I worked as a Nursing Instructor at the University of San Francisco from August 2009 to August 2017. As an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, I need top verbal skills. During my time as a nursing instructor, I gained this skill. I can talk freely wherever. It gives me the platform to be investigative on each patient I deal with, which is a plus. I also learned the importance of listening. Information can easily pass you by without proper listening skills. Therefore, I have perfected the art, and I believe in my ability. As a nursing instructor, I got to adjust to working during different times of the day or break days.
I was a Business Systems Analyst at Wells Fargo Company in San Francisco, California. It is where I developed both my leadership and teamwork skills.
