Introduction

Both of them should not be allowed to continue on this path. Prostitution is ethically inappropriate in all contexts. However, men have been seen to be at the forefront of perpetuating prostitution and abuse of women's body. When analyzing this vital matter, the men who lured them into this business should be held responsible and their change of career can depend on the pimp who rides in the BMW in the case of Heather. In the situation of Megan who became a call girl so as to pay her school fee, it is to some extent justifiable and also her action can be disregarded since she could engage in some other economic activities to raise school fee.

To Andrea Dworkin, if one has been in prostitution, there is likely the feeling of there is no tomorrow in mind (Vicente 47). Quitting becomes difficult for women in prostitution. Their bodies are subjected to abuse by the man who is in control due to the use of money which the women desperately need.

Situations do not mitigate what prostitution is but when it is done over and over it is termed as prostitution. On the other hand, it is an abuse of woman's body. Penetration by the man into delicate tissues and could be a form of rape since their conscience mostly does not allow but their bills push them to that end. Women should think of their bodies and avoid giving their parts to many men in exchange for funds. Andrea compares this idea to gang rape. When a lot of men get to sleep with one woman she is considered by many to be dirty and unethical. Therefore, Megan and Heather should consider seeking different career paths and make peace with themselves.

Abortions compared to prostitution are quite different in regards to the right to own body. Abortion can be conducted to save the lives of the mother in birth complications. However, to some extent, women should be allowed to sell their bodies. In this regard, pro-abortion claim that the women have a right and a moral obligation to choose what to do with their bodies and that it gives them room to attain their potential. However, when the same body rights are granted to permit prostitution women are likely to face injustices in the society. They would be abused by men who produce a lot of funds to receive 'quality services' in form of sex.

Conclusion

My notion is in agreement with Andrea's idea as she states that prostitution is in itself an act of abuse of woman's body. Prostitutes are susceptible to many diseases that are deadly. Some are also quite contagious and when they indulge in these acts they tend to become 'agents of bad fortune'. They are also at risk of various forms criminalization. Prostituted women in many states face brutalization from law enforcement authority (Stark 580). The form of violence causes loss of lives and reduction of the female gender. Women who have no idea of all these repercussions of selling the body should be informed of the same and warned of the implication of prostitution. Women are made to experience a sense of inferiority compared to male gender when they sell their bodies. Andrea posits that when men pay for sexual intercourse with women, they admit and express their abhorrence for the female body. Prostitution should be condemned and with emphasis from Andrea's insight this course is inappropriate and is morally incorrect.
