This mainly occur when the victim is unable to defend him or herself against the bullying behavior. Primarily, the bullying behavior include aspects such as face to face confrontation such as damaging kicking and hitting among other physical harm. Other bullying behaviors might include indirect involving a third party on social exclusion, spreading rumors, and other types if psychological harm or cyberbullying.
Electronic Aggression: The Rise of Cyberbullying in the Digital Age
There is new emerging type of bulling that is being referred to as electronic aggression. This type of bullying through electronic media is becoming an important concern as there is an increasing virtual interaction between children and adolescents. Primarily, this type of bullying is referred to as aggressive online behavior in the digital space and it is defined as aggressive behavior of using technology though social media and cell phones. Most of the online behaviors are conducted through chat rooms, emails, testing, instant messaging, and websites. This type of bulling is far different from other traditional types of bullying as the school administrators and staff cannot control it as it happens outside their jurisdiction. This type of bulling and the traditional bullying have similar consequences.
