Physical education is relevant to every college student and should be taught to all the students besides their course of choice. Research indicates that students benefit a lot from physical education classes. The classes equip the student with the knowledge on the importance of a healthy lifestyle, maintain high-level expertise as a result of overall health, and help them make wise decisions regarding their safety, health, and well-being (Pangrazi & Beighle 2019).
Colleges offering physical education happen to be leading in the students' performance compared to those not offering the classes. Physical education contributes to students' physical fitness, which is a crucial component of a healthy lifestyle (Lacy & Williams 2018). The inclusion of consistent fitness activities helps the student keep fit and thus be active in classes due to improved nutrient absorption in the body and improved cardiovascular health and with developed muscular strength leading to improvement in academic performance.
Students engage in different physical activities that improve their social lifestyle, helps take part in various group activities, motivate them in teamwork, take up cooperation, take up real characters (Bosch, 2019). Therefore physical education plays a significant role in the student be in an excellent position to do superior in study fields when involved in teamwork, which is one of the critical values in the workplace. When physical education in colleges is a must, help the student get rid of stress and anxiety and facilitate emotional resilience and stability due to lack of free time for exercise with the students having to spend so many hours studying.
Conclusion
In conclusion, with breaks from consistent classwork, the student gets off time to refresh the body and mind, creating a better room to focus on the studies (Alvarez, 2019).Of all the units students learn in colleges, physical education is the main essential and should be of high quality in all the colleges. The above evidence thus shows that any study professional is not productive if the student is poor health with failure to take up physical education classes.
