Babylon under Nebuchadnezzar experienced rapid constructions in terms of buildings and walls for defense. The King also ensured gates entering Babylon were built in a certain way to make the capital beautiful. Coloration was also part of the construction in this empire that was promoted by the King (Kohlrausch, 2019). The Persian Empire is known to have been involved in the importation of different types of instruments for construction from other empires. This was a move that was empowered by their King who pushed for the formation of things such as cultural ornaments (Chase et al, 2009). The Kings aimed at forming stronger buildings and walls of the temple in a different way. This is to mean that they promoted creativity.

In conclusion, it is clear that the ancient empires such as Sumerian, Babylonians, Syrians, and Persians built their towns, temples, palaces, and walls due to political forces. Formation of walls during this time as a form of defense was an initiative that was promoted politically. Building instruments and instruments used in decoration were made available for construction and decoration respectively because of the political leadership. Respect for God by political leaders made it easy for them to pioneer the designing of temples. Some of them made sure that temples were constructed near their residence so as to create a connection between them and God. Making of ornaments and stones to depict animal images represented political powers. Such ornaments are seen to be important in almost all Empires as discussed above. Hence we can say that political powers promoted architectural designs in ancient times.
