Introduction
Electric vehicles have been a milestone achievement in our world today. As the planet heats up, humans look for ways to reduce global warming. This is why they made electric cars; to reduce carbon (IV) oxide on the planet that is the leading contributor to global warming. This essay describes a business idea, that involves the making of lead batteries, and why, they are likely to be a success in the competitive market.
Nickel-Metal Hydride and Led Batteries
Common batteries wear out in a span of five years. In my business, I would use an alternative compound rather than lithium to tackle this problem. The suggestion being combining nickel-metal hydride batteries and lead-acid batteries. Nickel-metal hydride batteries have a much longer life-cycle, energy, and power capability. Lead-acid batteries on the other hand can be designed to be of high power, safe and reliable. The problems in lead-acid batteries are a short life cycle, poor performance in cold temperature, and low specific energy(Pollet.etal,2012). In nickel-hydride batteries, the challenges are high cost, high self-discharge, and heat generation at high temperatures. The proposition is that the compounds are combined to form a battery that will have a longer life cycle, more power, and better performance at hot-cold temperatures.
Advantages in the Market
This developed battery will be cheaper than the lithium ions batteries because only small amounts of the compounds will be used as they will be supplementing each other. In the lithium battery, a lot of lithium metal is used to produce power, this is different from the modern global battery industry, where the manufacturers are purely lithium, prone to damage(Cano.etal,2018). Hence if there is a lower cost of production, the combined battery can be offered at a cheaper price bringing high profitability. What can then be done concerning competitors to ensure you are on top is making appropriate strategic marketing choices affecting each nation globally.
Conclusion
The business, involves the combination of compounds, to produce a durable Nickel-hydride battery. It shall be a cheaper battery, highly efficient, and environmentally friendly, making it a success in the industry. Unlike in the current global battery industry, the batteries are of a higher quality.
