The organization has been committed to help people the neediest people in the UK and across. The Organization has been helping people to deal with emergencies related to floods, fires and accidents. The organization has a number of employees and trained volunteers who help the organization to deal with the emerging crisis in the UK. In addition, the organization has created a website and an app to reach the most vulnerable persons in society. In the wake of the COVID-19 crisis, the organization has played a huge contribution towards ensuring that the UK individuals access the required services. Moreover, the extreme weather changes and have caused staggering devastation and as a result jeopardizing human life. As a humanitarian organization that deals with humanitarian activities, it has been in the forefront helping those in dire need. The British Red Cross First Aid app first Aid app enables the organization to provide consultation and improve the quality of patients’ care at a lower price (British Red Cross, 2020). Strengths of the British Red Cross First Aid APP

The first Aid app can monitor the location of people and also update them on what is happening around them. Moreover, the app can be set to monitor the locations of families or friends (British Red Cross, 2020). Therefore, no matter where an individual is, it is possible to see what is happening around you and other people. One can see the threats and the possible actions that one should take.

In addition, sometimes people concerned about you may receive alerts about the threats around you. Of course, when in danger such people will be worried about because they do not know whether you are in danger or safe. The British Red-Cross has launched a first aid application that enables the public to acquire personalized, real-time alerts about the extreme weather changes that occur around the UK. The British Red Cross has been working together with the Meteorological department and the environmental department. They can access live data feeds for different locations and provide advice on how to respond to the threats around people. Such information will help families and friends to be prepared and take precautionary measures during extreme weather occurrences. Moreover, the mobile app enables alerts individuals and advises them on the possible precautionary measures that they could take in case particular extreme conditions occur (British Red Cross, 2020).

Additionally, in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic, most people have been left helpless and lonely. Individuals can no longer connect with each other because they are forced to stay indoors to control the spread of the disease. Moreover, the pandemic resulted in the sudden break in constants between families and friends. Many people can hardly access the supermarkets and therefore, they cannot buy foods. The elderly people are the most vulnerable in the UK need emotional advice than they needed before. British Red Cross stands in during who are forced to stay to home for health reasons this difficult moment to provide their support. Also, there are an increasing number of patients in hospitals, and as a result, the wheelchairs have not been enough. The number of in-patients in the UK Hospitals is increasing due to the rising cases of Covid-19 infections. British-red-Cross app is helping to reach out to people who require essentials such as food and medicine wheelbarrow, and also, assist people to find their missing families (British Red Cross, 2020).

The Limitations of the App

The smartphone Apps require an internet access for them to functions. Despite that internet access in readily available in the urban, most remote areas could be facing broadband gap and as a result, individual in such areas may not receive information in real time. Therefore, people in remote areas may susceptible to threats (Holman, 2016).
