Introduction
Multicultural classrooms are vital to help students develop and attain their objectives in the long run. The goals statements fundamental in the secondary, post-secondary, and elementary schools are to build personal learning in forming a path for a career. It is also essential in linking the academic opportunities and strengths and courses undertaken in high schools to post-secondary training. The relevant ideas generated are that the objective of these schools is to create productive work behaviors in the classrooms and schools to apply in the workforce environment. The problematic strategies experienced in these schools are the high levels of poverty among students, family factors, technology, attitudes of the students, and parents' involvement in academic progress.
The main goals to use in the classrooms and workplace setting through multicultural aspects are teaching students to be comfortable and skillful in a diverse workforce through the integration of the international economy. The objective of multicultural education is to restructure education for proper knowledge effective to work in a diverse environment (Manning et al., 2017). In embracing multiculturalism, it involves learning more about various backgrounds of the students and celebrating different cultures and festivals. Cultural diversity in schools is crucial as it prepares students to be global people through exposing themselves to a variety of cultures and social groups, and it improves the learning backgrounds.
The impacts of race, religion, and class on schools and students promote reflections and fosters an aspect of empathy by developing new perspectives and enhancing mindfulness. It allows students to feel unique in the classrooms and be part of a group that prepares them for diversity in the workplace. It instills self-confidence and inclusion in the diverse economy by maximizing academic achievement and promoting educational success.
The strategies to implement in the classroom setting to enhance the student's success are through encouraging students to appreciate and accept their heritage and analyzing the biases that can occur in the classes. Assignments should be created to enhance and celebrate multiculturalism and increasing love. Through assimilation and bilingual education, it will improve multicultural proficiencies (Banks, 2019). In implementing the strategy, then it is vital to use critical thinking and goals of the multicultural environment. A safe earning background should be created while integrating a diverse reading list in the surrounding. The aim of these classrooms in schools is to facilitate the acquisition of various skills and attitudes to function effectively in learning in a diverse environment and preparing students for the workforce in the global competitive surroundings.
The steps to undertake in going forward and growing in multicultural competency are enhancing the vision and goals through defining the objectives of the community and conducting cultural audits to promote shared knowledge through ethnicity and nationality, among others. The expectations of the students have to be identified and how their stereotypes can affect connectedness and communication. Individuals' involvement in different cultures is essential to increase effectiveness and connect various networks of persons through enforcing policies that facilitate rights for every individual. The organizational facility should be respectful by eliminating discrimination and modifying interventions of the cultures. An inclusive cultural environment will be developed where it engages all people in decision making and creates ties with all different cultures.
Substantive issues that can affect cultural competency have to be identified and analyzing ways in which people can come together and work towards a common goal. Through participatory approaches, an efficient plan can be developed to promote the inclusiveness and objectives of building intergroup relationships. Multicultural education aims at developing cultural responsibility and creating a responsive environment while building social, educational, and political equity in schools.
